Hello! My boyfriend and I have been ring shopping this weekend and looking at some amazing options. It was really educational (and so much fun) and now that we're getting ready for the purchasing step, I need help describing what I want him to zero in on. We've had a hard time finding a ring with all of the components I like, and are likely going to " back into it" by purchasing the diamond and band separately and having them combined.
I am interested in a round solitaire that is lowly set in a simple four-prong setting on a very thin platinum band. I'd love a band that is 1.5 mm in width and an even width all the way around -- no tapering, no knife edge, just a flat symmetrical width all around. Is there a name or term for this type of band? What about the setting, one that is simple and low, without a bridge or trellis?
Any advice appreciated!
Erin
