My Hair vs Their Hair

I can't find a hairstyle I like for myself more than something I found on Pintrest called the Boho Braid ( http://pinterest.com/pin/128282289358335723/ ). We are having a nerdy/geeky wedding so I wanted something fun and casual and yet nice enough to call Bridal Hair.

First, what does everyone think of this choice for me? Again, I want something casual yet nice. My dress is an A-line gown with a v-neck in the front and back, ruching, and asymmetrical appliques (to give y'all an idea) I also want to add some of those bobby pins with rhinestones into each braid and I have a hair tie with a half circle thing on top that's covered in rhinestones.

Second, if this is my hair, what should we do for my bridemaids? Down with some curles maybe?

</div><div>If you like the hairstyle, then go for it!  As for your bridesmaids, let them wear their hair however they feel most comfortable.  They don't have to have matching hairstyles.

  • I love that hairstyle.  If you wanted to keep a little more of your hair up these are some other pics i found along those lines.

this one you could do the same as your pic for the top and roll the braids into the roll at the bottom. Or have the braids in the top that finish like the roll in this pic.

Could do curls or side braids for the girls. But id figure out what for u first :) hope some of this helped. I just know i got married in august and it had to go up since it was hot. gl

  • I like the concept, but I am not crazy at how "dry" the ends look, if that makes sense. It looks kind of ratty like it needs smoothing.  Let your bridesmaids wear their hair however they want.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Thanks all! Yeah I wouldn't get my end teased the way they are in the DIY. I have a sensitive head and brushing those out would be a nightmare. The links posted by Eyejewel are really pretty!

  • I think it's cute, and if it's your style - go for it! And I would not worry about your bridesmaids - let them worry about it!
I wore my hair up and pulled back, and so did all of my other bridesmaids except one, who kept her hair down. It didn't look weird at all, especially because I haven't seen her hair up in about 5 years. They all looked like themselves!
