My WMB is dead and I'm sure the ladies of my Birth Month Board are going to get sick of me talking about the wedding :)

I <3 Snark, so I'm hoping I will fit right in. Anything I should know?

    Welcome! We're actually not very snarky on this board, its an old title.

    We mostly chat about our days, what we're making for dinner and a little wedding chat thrown in. And we are very happy to chat weddings! The board is pretty dead after 3pm, most of us Knot while we're at work. You'll get a lot more response in the mornings.

    Welcome! A couple of things I've learned since I started lurking / posting:

    1. Many of the ladies here are "veteran brides" who advise the new brides like myself on what to do - and even more importantly, what NOT to do - as our wedding days approach.

    2. The true snark on this board seems to be reserved for the brides who put the minute details of how their weddings will look / what kinds of parties they feel they deserve / etc. before the feelings and needs of the people who love them. Otherwise, the folks here tend to provide a warm blend of humor, encouragement, and gentle schooling when needed. :)

    You are welcome here!  Tell us about yourself and your wedding plans.  Most of us girls on this board are pre-wedding.  My wedding is getting close.  It is May 24th!

    Thanks! Sorry to post and run the other day! I usually post while I'm at work as well

    Anyway, a bit about my family. FI(Dan) and I will be married on Nov 9th in Lowell, MA. We have two amazing little boys, Quinton and Theodore(Teddy). Quinton just turned 2 and Teddy is just over 5 months(my little halloween baby).

    We have a bunch of OOT family, all from my Dad's side of the family. Both the (f)ILs and my Moms side is local. So far, we have the venue set and already half paid for, chair covers are done, DJ/Photog done, I already bought my dress(Maggie Sottero- Symphony) and my MOH/BMs ordered their dresses(Bill Levkoff 178(navy)/526(pewter)), flowers are done and deposit paid(deep blue hydrangaes/purple stock) We will have 12 people total in the Bridal party(not including FI and I). My MOH is my BFF and FIs BMan is his little brother. Both of our boys will be our RBs, no FGs.(My Jr. BM and Jr. GM and our kids will be the only children at the reception). Our Colors are Navy and Pewter with a bit of deep purple thrown in and Lime green(in flowers) to have that contrast.

    Thanks for "letting" me hang around here :) like I said before, my WMB is pretty dead and I'm on TB/TK Mon-Fri 10a-6p haha.

    Edit: FI and I have been together for just over 4 years now. Our dating anniversary is actually our Wedding date, so we will be married on our 5 year anniv. FI propsed to me on March 6th of 2011(my baby shower for DS1) in front of his and my entire family. It was awesome and I cried like a baby. What most people don't know is that right after he proposed, he had to get an Emergency Root Canal. He was in soooo much pain, poor thing. But he got it done!
