The day before the wedding was a nightmare and filled with mama drama. DH was at his breaking point, which I have never seen before because it takes TONS to get him angry. The day of it was a little better and it rained so we weren't able to do the reveal outside like we wanted but we did it at our ceremony site. DH was just "whatever" about the reveal but he was SO glad we did it, as well as the private last dance in the end. Not a lot went right, actually, and I wish I would have gone over the ceremony more than I did. In my mind I always imagined us holding hands and being close physically but that didn't happen; I only took a sip during our wine ceremony instead of drinking what was left so DH had to drink the rest before we smashed the glass. I partly regret not having a videographer but two people recorded the ceremony so hopefully that we be enough to please me.
We didn't do a lot of traditional things in the end but it wasn't for a lack of trying. We ended up staying together the night before and waking up together, which was nice for us. I don't know if it was a combo of this and the reveal but I wasn't nervous at all. TMI but I am another bride who did not pee once during the reception; I did after the ceremony and thankfully it wasn't a pain with the dress as with others I have seen in movies and I didn't have to have an entourage...I did it myself!
We did goody bags for our vendors filled with 2 types of brownies and several kinds of cookies and they LOVED them. We also did goody bags for the kids; they had coloring books, various games for their age and only cost about $5 each.
