Healthy Recipes

Hi all,

For those of you who get recipes online, what sites do you use?  I use sparkpeople and pinterest a lot, but I feel like I keep coming across the same recipes and keep making the same things over and over. It gets a little boring after a while. Does anyone have an additional site that they can recommend?  Thanks!!

I'm a big fan of skinnytaste.com. I've made a number of her recipes and they always come out pretty good. I tend to varying them a bit from time to time, but overall they're tastey.

Definitely allrecipes.com and I sort by rating - I've found some amazing recipes that way!

In terms of recipe blogs I also love eatliverun.com (seriously... take a look through the recipe journal!) and http://threemanycooks.com/. If I'm trying to use up anything in particular in my house I use supercook.com (sounds like google recipes - you enter the ingredients you have and it comes up with recipes).

@HorrayForSoup - I don't know how I always forget about the food network website.  I should probably check that out more often.  I will def check out allrecipes.com
I had no idea google had a recipe feature! I have no idea how I've missed that! I am going to play around with that.  Sometimes I do have something like broccoli sitting around and try to come up with a different way to make it, so that sounds like it will def come in handy!

@cnf2013 - someone else just mentioned skinnytaste to me also.  I will def have to check that out.

@jaenella - I love blogs! I can't wait to look those up and check them out.  Thanks!

Pinterest! I follow a few vegan food magazines/blogs on there, and they're always repinning from all across the web. Pinterest recipes are always either super healthy, or the most fattening things on earth. I think it's a rule.

[QUOTE]cooking light has awesome recipes, everything is really yummy, and most of it can be done in 30 minutes.

This so much. It is awesome because usually it will give you 3-4 different variations of a meal and really helps switch it up. A lot of the recipes go with the seasons too. I love my subscription.

I end up googling what I am looking for a lot and the sites that have the simplest recipes are http://www.food.com/ and www.rachaelray.com. That's important to me because I hate buying a lot of ingredients that will just go bad. Also, there's less of a chance that there's something unhealthy in there. Some of my favorite meals just are whatever the food item is with some sort of spice blend or garlic or horseradish. I recommend checking out your grocery spice aisle and buying a lot of spices (spice blends are good, too, as long as they don't have salt). You can make many of the same things and have them taste completely different. That's just some advice from a non-fancy cooker. It's also great if you have people in your house that like different flavors. You can make 2 meals at once without a lot of effort.
