Dominican Republic

My fiance and I are thinking about possibly going to the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon. We would probably be going right after the wedding which is in early october. I was wondering if anyone knew any info about this country, like possibly prices or environment, etc. Thanks!

    The DR is a very popular destinatin for honeymooners and vacations in general. All Inclusives are very popular in this area. My suggestion would be go check out Tripadvisor.com and just browse thru some of the hotels. Pick out a few that interest you then check pricing.

    We went to DR two years ago. Stayed at the Riu Grand Palace. We went there without planning, just picked it and left the next day. Not knowing a lot about the country at the resort we were at there were not a lot of English speaking people. It worked out though, we got our main points across and made some friends. We didn't do any excursions though so I can not speak for that. I would use trip advisor to really figure it out. It gives the good and the bad.
