I think it's funny that you are waiting until after you get married to have a fur kid.  So traditional of you!

  • Haha its more that we are never home ( we are both not home for a good 12 hours a day), and don't want to leave a new puppy with someone for a week while we are on our honeyoon. Once we are married, I will cut back on my 2nd job hours and he will too so then we can have our furbaby! But it does seem like we are being traditional ;)

  • Its about time! haha jk..

Also, with all this potato talk, I am soooo hungry for mashed potatos.

  • Corgis are so cute! We were set on a beagle.. but now want a yellow lab :)

Corgis and beagles are both in the same family of batshit crazy dogs.  I would be careful with either!  Both need a lot of exercise and get destructive when bored.

FI was convinced that he wanted a dog that needed a lot of exercise and now that we have one, he gets annoyed when she needs exercise and it's cold out or he's tired.  Be warned!

Maggie is not batshit crazy, she's a cuddler! She's a jack russel beagle mix, imagine that combination of hyper!

Totally agree!  Our pup is a rescue (one of 10 in a litter they found under a porch!)  They told us- Beagle, Lab, Corgi, Chihuahua or Dachshund.  We saw pictures of the mom and the supposed dad and we're thinking mom was lab/corgi, dad was beagle/jack russell.  He'll be three this year and is still a ball of energy.  My FI runs hims 4-5 times a week for 3-5 miles at a stretch and he still has enough energy to have frenzies in the house.

    But you love them anyway!
  • FI had a beagle growing up, and we have always loved them, but we are now looking into adopting and putting our names on the seeing eye dog reject list.  Our good friend got his lab from there and he is the best dog ever.
