Summer Colors

Ugh help! I am having a hard time on deciding colors for my wedding.

Re: Summer Colors

  • What colors do you like?  Colors don't have to be seasonal.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I'm doing sage green dresses with various shades of purple flowers. I was also considering oranges and pinks (see Addie's bouquets above), but the place I ordered my flowers (silk) didn't have what I wanted in stock.

But that said, I'm very happy with my choice.

There are no rules. Do you have a favourite flower or colour?

I did sangria (sort of a purple/burgundy) and apple green.   Pick the colors you love the most, and go from there.

here is a picture of one of our centerpieces, so you can see how the colors went together.

  • Thats too funny as my Fiance wants to have blue incorporated in the colors.

  • Here are some pallette's which include shades of blue, and would be perfect for summer :)

I'm having the worst time too. I did want Cranberry & Light blue but since my dress is an Ivory color I don't want RED WHITE & Blue. Man I tell ya ; the sad part to wedding planning is all the TINY details are the hardest. LOL. Especially for a woman who is indecisive. But now I'm considering Gray & yellowish greenish (my cat has a killer eye color) I love my kitty so it's just awesome he's gray & white with very awesome weird eyes.
  • I am having turquoise and yellow with a little bit of pink thrown in!  Just go with whatever you like!! :)

Lol. I love like every color. Expect Pink or at least the pastel range of pink.
  • We had an August wedding. I had marine (navy) and wisteria (light purple) as the dress colors from David's Bridal. Then I used creams and light greens in our flowers and other wedding items. I agree if you have a favorite colors to just go with them and don't worry about it being seasonal.

A little tip. I was an art major in college so I am extremely picky about color. I found that I liked using paint chips from hardware stores and putting them on my fridge so I could group some together as I made up my mind.

*Side note, we had been together for nine years so I had been planning our wedding in my head for a LONG time! Once it got to be time to start actually making decisions I changed my mind at least 4 times in a month. I totally understand how it was to go back at forth as the rest of the wedding seemed like it would revolve around what I decided.
