music

so my family is christion and so is most of out friends from my side. my fiance on the other hand is catholic. i have no clue on what kind of music we should put on during the reception. i was thinking instumental but my fiance and i are both 22 so i dont want it to seem boring for our friends and family.

Re: music

  • What time of day do you want the wedding to be and what kind of party are you looking at having?

If you want to dance, I don't see how your religions (unless they prohibit dancing) would affect your music. You can always ask the DJ not to play certain songs if there are some that your families might find offensive.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I think that during dinner you should probably play instrumental music (of your choice genre), so that people can still carry on conversations. If you're having dancing after dinner then you can play whatever music you and your FI would like, that people will dance to. A good DJ will ask you what kind of music you like and be able to read the crowd to play whatever songs will keep people moving.

Both FI and I are Catholic, but that isn't a factor in what kind of music we are going to play.
