Our June wedding is very informal rustic black, white and crimson celebration. Our meal is buffet style broaster chicken, fresh green beans with mushrooms, onion and bacon, buttered corn, potato salad, pasta salad, and homemade potato rolls. The problem is cake/desert. Neither of us eat or even like cake. And we will not be having a cake cutting ceremony. We thought having a desert buffet/table would be nice and fitting. My question is... would it be better to have multiple random deserts OR narrow it down to a select few deserts we enjoy. My sister does not want it to look/feel like a pot luck, and we don't either. What are your suggestions for skipping the "traditional stacked wedding cake" and doing something different for deserts? Are there any rules I need to follow?? this is all new to me so I appreciate your suggestions
