Weekend Plans

Morning! What's up for the weekend?

Tonight FI and I are planning on going to the movies. I'm not sure what we're seeing. I know FI wants to see 42 so maybe that.

Tomorrow I'm getting up early and driving to DE to get my hair cut and colored. After that I get to see Sak and plan to finish up everything for the welcome bags.

Sunday I have no set plans so I'll probably end up cleaning and lounging.

Re: Weekend Plans

  • Is it morning already? Blech ... this week has been horrible, I'm glad it's Friday.

Tonight we have gaming. I've only got about 3 skeins of yarn left to knit into baby hats, so I'm not sure what I'll do when I get those done. I probably won't have to worry about it tonight, though.

Tomorrow I have to do laundry. I was going to do it earlier this week, but then things started to go south around here and I had to deal with my life. Maybe knit some more, maybe finish crocheting my new afghan. BF just got us Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 for the Xbox, so we might play those if we can wrap up Lego Star Wars 3. (Our worlds are so exciting.)

Sunday we're going to my parents; my dad's aunt and cousin are coming over, and we'll play pinochle all afternoon.
  • Tonight I have no plans really, I just need to work out again and of course more packing will happen.
Tomorrow includes a trip to Home Depot to get some things for the house, buy paint for the master bedroom, and pick out a bbq grill for FI.  We also have a meeting with the priest at my church to give us some wedding dates.  I'm excited about that.

Sunday no plans except for rehearsal at night. Probably more packing.  We finally close on Monday but probably aren't moving in until early May. The biggest debate is the kitchen it's fugly so we wanted to do some minor improvements because we want to get married before redoing the kitchen.  FI wants dark cabinets darker countertops, I prefer lighter colors.  So I don't know who is going to win that battle.

I also need some sleep I'm exhausted, it's been a busy week.

    Anniversary

  • This week has been really crazy to say the least with everything going on in Boston and in Texas. Praying for a whole lot of people this week!

I'm actually taking a half day so I can go watch FI play in a student vs. teacher basketball game at his school. Then I will meet all his coworkers that are coming to the wedding who I have yet to meet. Then we may go to dinner with his Dad and stepmom to go check out a band for the rehearsal dinner.

Saturday FI has a tennis match early in the morning and then we are going to go meet with the caterer to look into menu ideas and they also do our linens so we will probably start to work out those details. It's also my little sister's 21st bday so my older sister and I are taking her out for dinner and drinks. I don't know how I feel about her being 21, it makes me nervous. I feel like she still has so much more growing up to do.

Sunday I'm going to SC to visit FI's grandma and hang out with her. We haven't seen her since we got engaged and FI's family has a tree farm over there so we are going to visit that also.

  • tonight, I'm going to work out (30DS L1), get my grocery shopping done, study, and have dinner with H at our fav pizza place!

Saturday I need to take an ACCT test, cook latin rice for 40 people, and hopefully catch up on some sleep.  I have until Tues or Wed to take the test, so I may just study and take it Monday?

Sunday is crazy.  we have morning church, then we're driving a bus 45 minutes to have a multicultural service at a different church (H is speaking), having a dinner (hence the rice for 40 people), and then driving back to our regular evening service so H can translate it into Spanish.

the weekends exhaust me.  I look forward to Mondays.
  • Danser-Home Depot will be your favorite store now!

Liv-I'm sending you all the hugs right now.

Tonight we're just laying low nothing exciting.  Saturday I'll be cleaning, doing laundry and starting ANOTHER landscaping project.  Sunday we're going grocery shopping.

    Cue the yawns.

Everyone have a great weekend and be safe.

Tonight DH and I are going to a surprise dinner for one of our good friends. Tomorrow I have to run 11 miles (last long run before the marathon, woot!), then we are going to Baltimore to go to Ruth's Chris for some else's birthday. I will be nomming all the steak.

Sundaywe have a picnic to go to in the afternoon for residents on our street. It will be nice to meet some of our neighbors. I'm bringing some pumpkin spice chocolate chip cookies. Yum!

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • Today - I have my first dress fitting! I'm excited, but a little nervous. I'm not quite where I want to be weight wise, but i've been working on it and i'm sure I can get there in a couple more weeks.

Tomorrow - I have some WR projects I have to get done. FI and I are going to make up our last bowling league game since I have to go to MT next week. I'm also going to have to pack for that trip...boo. I really hate packing.

Sunday - BFF and I are hanging out. I haven't seen her in 3 weeks and i'm super-dooper excited!!! She's in a new(er) relationship and I can't wait to hear all about their recent OOT weekend together. I'm so happy for her!

RDR - You should definitely see 42. FI and I saw it last weekend and it's one of the best movies i've seen in a while. I think you two would really like it!
  • Liv, Shoes and Sous- Massive huge giant big hugs!

We're getting the first half (of the first half) of our move done and moving in with my FIL's. Our apartment is torn apart and there are boxes everywhere, our poor kitties are pretty stressed out and out of sorts, so we're going to get them moved in at FIL so they can get used to the place. So then we will be living here full time and finishing packing up this weekend and next week...

We'll get the rest of our stuff moved into storage next weekend, finishing the first half of our move...

We will (hopefully) be closing on our house in late May and that will be the last half of the move :)

Today is work as usual. BF is supposed to by the bank to get a loan pre-approval for a mortgage since we're looking at houses this weekend. We want to be prepared to bid on something right away just in case we see something we like. Friday night is my usual hang out with my mom. We're going to give the dogs a bath (fun right?) and then go out for cheap wine and pizza.

Saturday is baby sister's 21st baby. She'll be gone most of the day getting her lifeguard recertification but once she gets home mholl and I will take her out for drinks. I'm excited she's finally "legal" and out of the danger zone of getting a minor with possession charge. I just hope she doesn't take her legal status and start buying booze for underage friends.

Sunday BF and I are starting the home buying process. We're looking at 6 homes. They range from brand new to built in the mid 90s but they all have a basement and a two car garage which were two things we were not willing to compromise on. I really really really really really hope that one of the six homes just says "BUY ME" to us on Sunday so we can get the bidding and hopefully closing process started. I am so over the crap we've taken from our apartment management company and I want to get into something more permanent. I think we could definitely use some of the famous Knottie vibes/good feelings on this one!

In other really really awesome news! BF told me last night he's getting me a ring. Not right now... we need the money more for closing costs and the down payment. But from how it sounded it would be really soon after that so I AM REALLY EXCITED! This month is our two year anniversary and I just couldn't feel more happy. I feel like everyday our love for each other grows and I can't imagine sharing my life with anyone else.

I can't wait to leave work.  It's been a really busy week and I'm looking forward to not thinking about science.  Tonight I'm just relaxing at home with H, working on rdr's blanket and reading the book I started last weekend.  Tomorrow I'm doing the usual grocery shopping and laundry and then I haz an rdr date!  Sunday will be more working on the blanket and whatever else comes up...probably going through my closet, putting the winter clothes in storage, etc.

Tiger, I want to see you toooooo!

Well, I should definitely find out about the potential new job sometime today. They spoke with my references on Monday/Tueday. Wednesday evening they called and made me an offer, which was 6k less than I make now Cry.  I explained what I needed in terms of salary, and they said they would see what they could do and call me back the next day. Yesterday I spent the entire day practically in a panic attack. They NEVER called me. I finally emailed them about 6pm and after breaking down in worried tears to BF around 9pm, they finally emailed me back saying they needed another day to sort things out and we would definitely speak today.

So, today will be an emotional roller coaster. Tomorrow, I'm babysitting a friend's 8-month-old for a few hours. For the rest of the weekend, we're probably staying in a watching movies. My puppy got spayed yesterday so she needs a lot of attention. She HATES wearing the cone and has hardly moved since we took her home. She also hasn't gone to the bathroom, so I'm a little worried about her. Thank god I work from home (for now)!!!

Tonight-nothing planned. Probably just watch a movie or catch up on Shameless on the couch. Oh...I just remembered. I'm gonna be a mean mommy tonight and make Bean scrub the bathroom. Guys, little boys make bathrooms smell like freaking dons johns. He's 10. He either keeps it in the toilet or he learns how to clean up after himself. I had a little freak out this morning. I figure I'm doing a future GF/Wife a favor by teaching him now, right?

Tomorrow- we'll be at the barn all day, as always. Show season is creaping up on us. Afterwards, I'll probably take Bean to the tack shop to buy a new show bridle & martingale to match his new saddle.

Sunday- Gonna do laundry, grocery shopping, and other various household chores. Oh, Sunday my mean mommy task of the day is making Bean clean the mess he's made in the backseat of the car. I'm gonna give him a bowl of hot soapy water and a scrub brush and teach him how to clean the stains he's made with food/drink.

ETA: Cause I realized I used both Bean's real name and nick name...

  • Tonight: Work. Tomorrow: SO, LO, and I are going to a Farmers market, shopping, and maybe hang out at the beach. Sunday: Church, relax, and then work. We have a pretty boring life.

No plans for tonight but my laundry pile and dishes in the sink need some attention. So I'll hopefully get to tackle those and maybe catch up on my DVR shows. Tomorrow morning I need to go on a long bike ride in training for an upcoming metric century I'm shooting for 20 miles. And then we are going out for an early dinner where I'll be meeting my future MIL for the first time. She lives in Guatemala and is in the area for a month or so. Eek! My honey had a rough childhood and she can be brash so I'm a bit worried about her, but he assures me she will be okay with me. Sunday I teach Sunday school and then have no plans for the afternoon. Edit: sorry for the mega paragraph. I'm on mobile as TK is now blocked at work :
  • All you ladies in and around Boston- stay safe and huge hugs.

    Today is work.

Tomorrow is the bar mitzvah of the son of my boss, which should be fun.

Sunday is lots of errands....might have to work too.
  • Wow it is Friday already...dang.

I close at work tonight.  I might go out and have lunch/early dinner before, but I'm not sure.

I close at work tomorrow night. I have no plans before or after.

I work at a different store on Sunday and I'm super nervous.

  • THIS STRESS IS NEVER ENDING.

The woman I interviewed with last Wednesday just called me, and wants me to come in again on Tuesday to discuss the job responsibilities in greater detail, and she wants me to meet the one person on the team I haven't met with yet. She said the salary I asked for is on the higher end of what they had been prepared to offer, so they want to make sure they are making the right decision. She also said that we would come to a decision by the end of the meeting.

So, now I have another weekend of stressing about this, I have to get through the whole day Monday, trying to get work done at my current job. At least I asked to have that meeting early Tuesday morning, so everything should be decided by the afternoon.

I really, really want this position, and I think I will be a great fit for it. I'm just so sick of this stressful waiting period and want my near-future to be decided already!

Please keep the good knottie vibes coming. I will definitely be keeping the wine flowing.
