I need help!!

My wedding is in July and I am having a VERY hard time trying to decide on favors. The wedding colors are David's Bridal "Malibu" & "Sunbeam" (pretty much turquoise & yellow), and the theme is sunflowers & mason jars. I don't have much money to spend on favors, but I really want to do something cute that people won't just throw away. I've been thinking about using small mason jars filled with something, but it seems to be WAY too expensive to do that. I'm really wanting to stay under $1 per person (~125 people). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Use the 100200 you'd spend on favors for something else instead. Or, just save the money. Favors are not required, and your options to make something guests will love in the 1.00 range are limited.

Favors are not necessary. If you want to do them then you might be interested in what I did. They are not quite sunflowers but they are flowers. They served as both favors and decoration for me. I bought the pieces and friends helped me make them. Saves a lot of money that way. I chose Jordan Almonds in my wedding color and put extra out in a dish. The tradition of Jordan Almonds with weddings in various cultures was written up on our menus.

What you could do is find mason jars from a local freecyle group. I love freecycle, and you can see if they are in your area. Just go to freecycle.org and put in your location. You can then join a local group and post for items that you are looking for. Maybe someone has mason jars that they can give you for free. Then take the mason jars and you could make your own candles for inside and decorate with a daisy on top of the jar and add ribbon that is in your colors as well. This would be a dyi favor - but maybe you can get your FI or bridesmaids to help you out.

People love plants too. I've seen posts where people started growing seedlings and gave those away...or full blown plants but also read a few stories where they had trouble getting so many plants to the venue and also one where the plants got too cold and died right before the wedding. oops

I just found out that chocolate covered sunflower seeds are a thing. That could work great with your theme! If you can't get free mason jars you could just use baggies. I looked into them for my wedding, the price isn't bad. Sunflower seeds are also a less common allergen than nuts, although some do still have that allergy.
