New here -- looking for a good photographer in Middletown area

Hi ladies!

We are getting married in November of this year and are starting our photographer search (I know we're probably late in the game, but we just recently got engaged!)  I'm new on here, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

We're looking for a good photographer that will be with us all day.  We are on about a $1500-$2000 budget for a photographer, so does anyone have any good recommendations for that price range?  Some of the ones we have checked out so far are like $2700+ and unfortunately it's just out of our price range.

Thanks for any help you all can provide! :-)

  • We used the marridedphotogs for our epics. We thought they were most reasonably priced for the quality. They are about $2000 for weddings.

  • Within your budget, I love Lisa Rice Photography who did our engagement pictures.  She's based out of Columbus but will easily travel to Middletown.

  • Ok thank you!  I had heard of the married photogs but haven't heard from anyone that's used them before.  Did you like them personally as well?  We want to try to find some people that we 'click' with.  I've heard too many stories of brides that ended up hating their photographers on their wedding day because they weren't the friendliest people on the planet to some of their guests.  I know I'll be able to figure it out better if/when I meet these people in person, but I'd rather not have to schedule 10 meetings with different photographers to find out who will work best if possible :)

Any other ideas I would greatly appreciate it!  I'll take all the names I can get! :)
  • And also thanks for the tip about Lisa Rice.  I will check into her as well!
  • We are using Full Frame Photography.  We met them at the Dayton bridal show and they were SO personable. We have had our engagement session and loved them.  Super super reasonable and it comes with 2 photographers, unlimited time day of wedding, slide show at reception and all pics high resolution on a disc for you to keep.  Well within your price range. It was also important for us to clikck with them!! We were looking for someone kind of young hip and would think outside the box for poses that were not necessarily traditional.  We really clicked with them.  We can't wait for our August 3, 2013 wedding.

    Good Luck!!

We hired Lifelong Memories Photography for our engagement and wedding pictures and she was fantastic! We got a CD and spent around $1600 www.lifelongmemories.biz
  • My wedding is in October and we are also using the Married Photogs. Our engagement pictures turned out great! THey are a young couple who are very patient with any ideas you may have and also have great ideas of their own. I have changed my mind quite a few times about timing of things and what not and when I email them, I get a response within 30 minutes each time. Very reasonably priced as well.
