June 2013 Weddings

small wedding cake

My fiancé and I are getting married June 11th in Galveston, tx...a destination wedding. Its a small wedding, only like 16 people plus the two of us.
My problem is the cake. Im looking for a cake to feed like 20 people, but a lot of the bakeries are quoting cakes much larger then we need (48 servings and up). I cant get a cake local and bring it with me, its a 5 hr drive.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
ps. my fiancé dave wants a cake, not cup cakes Laughing
thanks for the help,
Janelle
Arlington, tx

You could always just go to the grocery store and get a cake there. I know it isn't fancy but you would be able to get it small enough

  • agree to find out what local stores are around your venue (grocery, costco, whole foods, etc).  You can get a small cake same day.
