I don't think we had a huge check last week. I got money from FMIL for the groom cake (cupcakes). I told her that was a brides thing, but she insisted. She doesn't want us to do anything in regards to the rehersal dinner.

I had my hair and makeup trial on Saturday and it went very well.

That was really all I got accomplished. I got sick on Saturday evening and lost all day Sunday to laying on the couch and sleeping. I have a three day weekend coming up though, so I plan to get a lot done, including spray painting the arbor we're using for the ceremony and figuring out our escort card display.

We are applying for our marriage license today!!!!! And we will be paying off the reception this week as well!!!! I will be releved ones it's all day!!!!!!

I procrastinated on the ceremony music list and the band itinerary for so long... But I got them done this week, and feel like I got so much accomplished! I'm going to take FI's mother's ring to the jeweler tomorrow to have it resized.

I thought I was almost done with place cards, but I started doing them again last night and they're taking forever! I have about 50 left, and I'm doing calligraphy. So, I will finish them this week and start working on programs.

Marriage license is hopefully our next big check.

Final meeting with our DJ this weekend.

Both sets of parents have taken over doing the hotel bags for guests which I'm perfecly fine with.

I need to buy and make a card box and buy flower girl baskets. I also need to wrap my BM gifts and buy parent gifts.

Two fo my BM's told me over the last 24 hours that they won't be able to make it to my b-party. I'm pretty sad about that.

Our rsvp deadline is today, o I pan to start hounding people about those. Thankfully we're only waiting on a few.

I also need to get final counts to my MUA and hair dresser so they can give me time frames and I can start y day of timeline.

My next dress fitting is soon too.

And we plan on doing our seating chart and place cards as soon as we have all our final numbers in as well.

I got my Play/Do not play list done last night for the DJ.

I made my escort card board on Monday, and I started my seating chart for a third time.

I am hoping to get a new photographer booked by the end of the week.

I made our programs last night, using a template on Word. I'll probably print one copy out and then take it to Staples to get them to make some nice copies of it.

I still have to do the marriage licence, but we have to wait until we can get to Nova Scotia to do it, since that's where we're getting married. Luckily my graduation is in 2 weeks so we'll be going then.

Major check last week was we figured out how to make our escort cards and we met with our reverend on Sunday. And our guest book photobook came and I love it!

Big To Do's for me now:
find/order square glass vases for our centerpieces
get marriage license (plan is Monday) super excited since I thought we had to go to the county we were getting married in to get it, but we actually can get it in our county--huge time saver!
make card box (or buy one if I find one I like)
make our escort cards & placecards have the supplies just need to do it
make programs
pick up flower girl basket
wedding party gifts!
confirm rehearsal dinner (FMIL and I are doing that next weekend)

My hair trial is next weekend & our bachelor/bachelorette weeked is the following weekend; I also have final dress fitting that Sunday as well.

So much to do!!! But I see this stuff as fun stuff, so I will take it one at a time. FI is helping with the escort cards and whatnot, so that is nice.

Our RSVPs are due back next week. I've been doing the seating chart as I received replies so that just has to be finished, but we have a tentative chart at least.

Oh my! I feel so behind reading everyone's stuff. lol

Last week I got flower girl baskets, had my bridal shower (so fun!), resent returned invites (due to incorrect addresses), and the photography deposit got paid.
Edit: I did order the bridal party gifts, and the gifts for the FGs and RB already arrived!

Sometime in the next week I need to talk with the photographer, meet with the dj (AKA Daddy dearest), have another dress fitting (#4! It's taking f o r e v e r), send thank you notes for bridal shower, buy a card box, and venue appointment & payment(yay!). That's a lot compared to what I have done.

This week i registered for marriage certificate online, getting what i hope is my final dress fitting done today, went and ordered (soon to be) hubby's ring yesterday.... my list is getting smaller and smaller i love it!

We went and applied for our marriage license today and also met with our rabbi to talk about the ceremony.

Tomorrow I have my first alterations/ fitting appointment. I'm getting my hair done and we are FINALLY having our engagement photos taken! Super excited, considering I had to reschedule 3 times due to our crazy schedules.

Last week I ordered our Ketubah, which was apparently shipped today according to UPS and estimated for delivery next Wednesday. I can't wait to see it!

I also went shopping with FMIL for supplies for our guest book table last weekend. We are doing a "Make a Wish" guest book. I'm setting out stationary cards and envelopes from Paper Source (in our colors) with pens and displaying them with an apothecary jar to drop them into with a sign asking our guests to write their wishes to us in the form of personal notes. I love this idea because it's different than a traditional guest book and the "Make a Wish" concept is a play on our proposal story.

My bridal shower is on Saturday (May 4th) and I'm getting really excited for that too!

Now that May is here there are so many things to do that were on the "had to wait" list and I'm feeling anxious about getting them all done in time, eeesh.
