Budget Honeymoon Help

Hello!
I need some help! I'm looking to plan my honeymoon for around 2000. Flights and stay included. I'd like an all inclusive if we could. We would fly out of orlando. Anyone know of anywhere?
Also it's in January.

Not a cruise though.

I found some all inclusives in the Dominican Republic on Apple Vacation's website that would include air and 5 nights...  $2K isn't a lot to work with though...  Why aren't you interested in a cruise?

Have you looked at Mexico?  You could probably stay 5-6 nights at a decent place in Riviera Maya in January for under $2k.  Try searching on Expedia.
  • January is a very tough time of year to find something on a budget in the Caribbean, as it's their high season. Definitely check out the websites mentioned by pps. Plug in your dates, departure city, and a whole list of resorts will pop up.

  • Since you're in FLA you should look into cruises. Carnival now offers a cheers program which is an all inclusive alcohol package.

  • Only reason we want to do something else other then a cruise is because we just went on a cruise  lol  :) It was the best cruise I've ever been on and I dont think we'd be able to top it..So we are looking for something else this time. Thanks for all the input so far!

Your wedding isn't until January so the fact that you "just went" is a little ridiculous.  With $2K you could do a lot on a cruise...
  • I get it that you don't want to do a cruise. You probably want to do something different that you haven't done before.

Check out an All Inclusive. I like the website AllInclusiveOutlet.com because you can put in your dates and departure city and it brings up a ton of choices.

    Good luck!

We booked our honeymoon at an all inclusive resort in Punta Cana, 5 days, 4 nights for 1885 bucks. That's including flights, transfers, hotel, food and drinks, even tax and tip. It can be done! We are going in June though, so I don't know if prices would be different in January. Good luck!

prices are very very much higher in january. june is budget time int he caribbean.

op: have you priced out anything or done any research to where you might want to go? you can visit allinclusiveoutlet.com for info and cross reference with tripadvisor. you didn't really give any info besides time of year (one of the highest priced) and budget (not a lot).

  • Yes I figured that out after reading on here that January is the high season. I honestly didn't know they before! :/. If I stay around that budget I'm ok I have some play room. I'd like anywhere in the Caribbean, seem to lean towards Jamaica. With tre prices we might end up taking our honeymoon later in the year on the low season. Another option might be a winter ski honeymoon I just started looking at. Maybe a cabin. Thanks for all the help!
