My thing is I know i wont be able to have the girl and my mom and granny and the make-up person/hair person all in my apt, so im contemplating on getting a hotel room for that but im like dang its October why are the rooms sooo expensive. The lady said 109 a night for a suite and i gotta get it for 2 nights due to the time my wedding will start...UMMM ANYBODY GOT THE HOOK UP WITH HAMPTON INN & SUITES GEESH OR MAYBE LET A SISTAH GET A LOAN lol

    Lol.! My Girls Are Getting Dressed At My Moms House. She Has Plenty Of Room And Im Getting Dressed At The Venue. They Have A Bridal Suite There. Makeup For Everyone Is Being Done In The Bridal Suite. Our Hotel Is 180/night For The Weekend So 109 Sounds Good Lol.! FI And I Are Going To The Hotel After The Wedding Because Its in The Other Direction Of The Venue And My Girls Would Be Late.

    LOL!  I feel you on the prices.  I won't even tell you what I am paying for the two nights I need a room. Not to mention that the groom gets a room too!   I am getting ready at the hotel that I will be spending the wedding night at.

    Its worth it to have the space. We had a condo rented and having enough space to everyone shower, make up, take pictures was so worth it!

    Well i told the Mr about the hotel and the space and im like you and the guys can stay there but we will be in the hotel...He goes no everybody just get dressed at their house and meet us at the hall and ill help u with your dress....<PAUSE>...u gonna help with what???? LOL LOL i didnt even reply back to him and that foolishness LOL

    I am staying at The Hampton Inn here in Md. The prices are about the same, $109. The front desk told me if I have AAA, AARP or military ID I can get a discount. It a $10 discount with AAA and a $15 discount with AARP. I asked my mom if she could book it for me and use her card. Got to get a discount anyway possible. 
    The girls are coming to the hotel by 1pm the day of wedding to get dressed and get makeup done. I am getting makeup done at hotel but getting dressed at venue. I will than hand my keys off to my coordinator who will get housekeeping to straighten up room and get it prepared for the wedding night. The hotel is close to highway so we can leave early the next day to go on honeymoon.

    BOL @ this! I am having the same dillemma right now. I am looking for a hotel close to the venue but they are all they smaller cheesy boutique hotels. I don't want to spend my wedding night at some crappy hotel. There are nicer hotels a little further out, but they are sooooo expensive and we need two AND because of the time of day the wedding is taking place, I am going to need it for more than just one day. UGH!!!

    I agree with having enough space... I am getting two rooms at a hotel right by our venue! My bridesmaids was very understanding and is helping to pay for them as we'll. I am excited b/c the last place I want to be is at home (the home I share with my FI) the night before the wedding.

    The night before im staying with my mom. Then getting ready at the hotel the next morning . The hotel is letting me check in @ 10a . My girls will be withwith getting ready there as well. The MR and the guys will get ready at my house. Its literary 2 mins from the venue. Our hotel is $94 a night and I'm using a AAA discount.

    Lol @misstira , mister is a fool! I was adamant that everyone needs to be in the same space because I was not waiting on anyone once I was ready. I just couldnt take the chance

    @misstira the mister and his logic... I. Got a suite and I had to get it under my room block because NASCAR is that weekend ... 109 is not bad but check if there is an event going on that weekend ...as of now the girls are going to get ready at the hotel with me in the am.. I'm not sure about the boys

    I am getting ready at the hotel and we have to have it for two nights because of the time. Its only $80 a night and its nice. The are also giving us a hoeymoon suite after the wedding. We are in Chicago.

    THIS!! You had to have had a hookup....unless we decide to change our wedding to a carnival cruise ..our wedding venue is in Orland....it was originally the Buckingham fountain but they pissed me off
