Save the Date preference..?

I was going to do a postcard in the mail for my save the date, but my maid of honor mentioned the idea of magnets instead. I like her idea, what are some pros/cons to this??

    We did magnets, which we ordered through Vistaprint and paid for with a Groupon. They look great, and they've gone over well with the guests. The only con is that they are a little more expensive to mail, but our postage was still only $0.66 each. Postcards can sometimes get mauled in the mail, since they aren't mailed in envelopes, but every postcard save-the-date I've received has arrived safely.

    I had the option and went with cards only because I liked the design betteron the cards vs. magnets (match our invites) and it saved me $50 in postage.

    We did magnets from Vistaprint and loved them. Our postage was no different than for mailing anything else.  The downside I have heard to postcards is that they often arrive pretty mangled-looking. 
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    I like magnets. But one of the cons I've heard is that some people don't get theirs because they stick together in the mail.

    We did postcards and the total cost, including postage, was $60 for 120 postcards.  From purely a cost standpoint, postcards were the way to go for us.

    We ordered magnets from MagnetStreet! Our guests LOVED them!! And they helped direct people to our wedding website for more information about our big day! Also, most people kept them on their refrigerators so they saw our faces and our date DAILY!
