FI and I are having a very personalized wedding - our decor involves the occasional flower made out of sheet music (he's a musician), we are having his sisters read a poem in both Spanish and English during the ceremony (I'm a Spanish professor), etc. One of the things we were thinking about was including little cards at the hors d'oeuvres stations and on the trays for the passed ones explaining who picked them and why. For example, FI is obsessed with all things teryaki so we're doing teryaki chicken pops whereas I chose empanadas with Spanish filling because of my study abroad experiences. Would including those little cards be tacky? I think it might be nice for those of our guests who don't know us as well to get to know us a little through the food we picked, but I don't want it to seem like we'll self-obsessed. Thoughts?
