to clip or not to clip

i know it SOUNDS simple but with planning a wedding...is ANYTHING ever SIMPLE?

i have the shoes attached. my dress covers my feet entirely and i plan on switching into grey chuck taylors with yellow socks (our wedding colors of course) in order to dance the night away. what's been turning over and over and over in my head is this small detail of a shoe clip. finding the one i want has been difficult and expensive. i opted to NOT wear a veil (saving $90 bucks) but have this thought fo some shoe clips that are going to cost me about $45 (to get what i want) and to only really get the 'look' captured in a photo. 

what do you ladies think? clip? or... no clip?

    It's totally a matter of personal choice, but if it were me.... I would go without. NO ONE sees your shoes, especially if you are only wearing them for the ceremony. You are basically purchasing them for one picture by your photographer. Is that one picture worth it to you? If not, then pass.

    I would skip it. You are changing into sneakers after your ceremony.  I wouldn't worry about a shoe clip.

    Thanks Ladies!!

    I will pass on the clip. 

    yes the dress will hit the floor without the heels and with the chucks but it will also hit the floor with slippers on...i'll think about the chucks though...just want to be as comfortable as possible.

    [QUOTE]In Response to Re: to clip or not to clip : My point wasn't about the chucks specifically, but rather about the idea of changing from mondo heels into anything flat, especially for the puroses of dancing.  Most brides don't think about the height difference or don't think it will matter until after the wedding when they come on here and talk about the hem of their dress being torn or ruined and what a PITA it was to have to pick up the skirt and carry it every time they moved at the reception. Just something to think about, regardless of shoe choice.

    <div>Gotcha! I was barefoot when I initially bought the dress and at the first fitting I had my shoes and my hemline didn't look to need any adjustments. I go for my final fitting for bustling on jan 3rd and will take both my heels and the chucks (or flats) just to see the difference. thanks!</div>
