Yeah, the white is really unpleasant and makes everything difficult to read.

ETA: And I sure hope the sig thing gets fixed. Look at me! Old pic and I've traveled back in time to almost a year before my anniversary that was in March!

I think if you go into preferences under signature settings, there is a button on the editing panel that is a white page with red <>. If you click that, you should be able to copy and paste the source in there, and then unclick it and it should come back with what you want, not the source code.

I hope that makes sense, I haven't had coffee yet this morning.

I'm just posting to see if it will let me. I've read that others have had trouble posting on the boards with the new layout.

My main complaints: No sidebar with boards listed for easy navigation, and the stickies don't stand out enough.

I like the sort feature.

Hey everyone!

1- Design and siggy issues are being addressed
2-- To find your board, @bunni727, you can now bookmark your favorites - making it easier to go to your boards. On the top right you will see the star near notifications, that is where your favorite boards live.

Thanks, Jackie. That's pretty cool. I'm not seeing any way to add a bookmark, but maybe that feature isn't live yet?

I still think a list of all boards on the side (like still exists on the regular wedding boards, like CC and E) would be good to have. It'll really help new posters that don't have favorite boards navigate the site, and could help cut some of the white space that others have been complaining about.

I understand you guys are still working on it, and appreciate that you take time to answer questions for us.

Ah, thank you! I think I tried everything except that and then gave up in frustration.

Yeah not digging the new layout. I also vote to have the left-hand menu reappear for easier transitioning between boards.

@StageManager14 - maybe it's because the text box is six inches wide, rather than 4 inches wide, like the CC board. That's a lot of white. I've noticed when new posters use a larger font on the boards, someone always request they size down, so I'm sure I'm not the only one that finds the larger font hard to read.

I hope Knot Jackie will encourage the board designers to listen to a variety of opinions.

But the color on the sides and the top broke up the monotony of the white space.

I just think they layout needs a bit of help. There is way too much blank space on the sides. Maybe if they made the background a soft cream color or something so it isn't so stark white, but the amount of deadspace on either side of the posts is ridiculous.

Also, add me to the list of votes to add the menu of boards to the left. It made for much easier navigation between the boards.

ETA: But then again I am using a wide screen which could be part of the reason for the massive amounts of white space I am seeing.

ETA Part 2: So I just went to go search for my wedding month board and all 2011 boards are no longer available on this new format. Is that TKs way of kicking me out to TN?

I did notice that when I am using the iPad as opposed to my PC, the white is less annoying, probably b/c of size. Also, the more I use the new boards, the easier I am finding it to navigate.

Well to be honest, I'm not a good sample knot citizen. I have terrible vision, and my monitor is already set for high contrast and other visually disabled aides. The white, for me, crawls onto the letters and breaks them up into smudged sections.
