Having a wedding in early September- do I use fall color schemes or summer color schemes?

I am getting married September 7th 2013 and am trying to finalize my color scheme. Must I stick to summer color schemes since it is technically summer, or can I look at fall color schemes, or can I look at either since I am right at the change of season?

I agree with pp, no rule of thumb here and either would be appropriate! I always think fall tones in September, but it would be fun to hang onto Summer just a little bit longer by enjoying a wedding with a summery color scheme.

Agree with PP's. Do what makes you happy. I had a Sept 16th wedding and teal and tangerine were my colors for a beach wedding and I loved it!

yep, I'm with everyone else. I got married on September 8th. Technically fall, but I wanted bright, happy colors. We did "Sangria", which is sort of purple/burgundy and apple green. I loved how bright the whole wedding was.

Whatever you want! I'm getting married in early September as well, and I'm not sure whether our colors are summery or autumnal. We're doing navy blue, dark green, mint green and white.

ETA: Oh, and some sparkly silver, too. I'm doing more of a color palette.
