I also posted this in the registering board...but I'm hoping the etiquette ladies can help also.
(NO worries, I'm not going to ask about a honeymoon registry or any such nonsense)
I was wondering what your thoughts are on registering for one brick and mortar store (such as a Macy's or a Bed, Bath and Beyond) but also creating a registry on Amazon.com for the guests more apt to be "online shoppers"?
I know, personally, I do most of my own shopping via Amazon whenever possible because I have a prime membership and get free shipping. I would be willing to bet that a lot of my friends/younger family members ALSO do a lot of their shopping online, not in physical stores. The difference being with Amazon is that the registry isn't tied to one particular retailer...just a product/item.
I wouldn't put crazy items on the Amazon registry - it would be many of the same items that you'd see at a Macy's or BB&B (kitchen, linens, etc...standard registry items)
Would this be acceptable from an etiquette point of view to have one store be a brick and mortar and another be "online"?
