what to do for bridesmaids? (children)

My bridesmaids are all our neices and are between the ages of 11 and 4.

We have bought their dresses, shoes and cardi (in case it is cold)

Should I get them a gift as well?
Obviously they are not getting make up but should I offer their hair as well. the 4 year old obviously not but the older ones? (even if it is something simple like a different plait or get it curled) to make it a bit more 'special'
Or shouldn't I bother and just leave it?

  • Yes, you should still get them a gift.  A gift to your bridal party members is a way to thank them for standing up with you on your wedding day, no matter their age.

As for their hair, I would talk to their parents and see what they think.  Some parents would prefer to not have their children have their hair professionally done.  But if the parents are a go then I think it would be something nice to offer that would most likely not cost you an arm and a leg.  But of course you do not have to offer this if you do not want to.

There parents are our siblings I know none would have an issue with it
  • Yup, I'd give them small, age-appropriate gifts.  Think books or toys rather than keepsake necklaces.
