Weekly Checks!

Hey ladies! I'm a little late tonight because I just got back home. FI and I spent the weekend at the Jersey shore with a few friends. (Our lives are not like the show, lol, don't worry). Anyway, what did everyone get done this week? What's on the agenda for next week?

THIS PAST WEEK

-I picked up my dress! SO excited. It fits pefectly- just needs a hem and a french bustle. My veil also came in, and I was able to buy a headpiece and slip. So many things crossed off the atire list. I just need to find shoes and some sort of earrings now.

THIS COMING WEEK

-get the wording together for the invitations

-talk to FI's parents about whether they fell comfortable being listed on the invitation or not

-look for shoes?

Heard from ceremony sound tech!
Contacted DOC
Followed up with bridesmaids who haven't ordered dresses (only 1 more left!)
E-mailed minister to schedule pre-marital counseling session
Set Bridal Shower date

This Week:
Figure out how many pictures we need for our photo guest book/order it
Buy a new printer and maybe make table numbers
100% of bridesmaids order dress/confirm delivery date
Decide how many hours to contract sound guy for ceremony
Hear from DOC (want her help with sound guy hours)
Set Bachelorette Party Date

Last week:
- Picked up fi's custom suit- it looks so good!

- Gave final go-ahead on invitations, they will get plates in about a week or two then another week or two to letterpress.
- Seems like I did something else, but couldn't tell you what- I'm at work (finally a slower night!) and have been for the last 4 nights, so I'm beyond tired!!
- Oh! I browsed online and think I found a bridesmaids dress, comes in 2 colors, a bluish green and blue, either will work. Mailed the link to the gals and all 3 approved!

This week:
- Having breakfast w/ my MOH in the am, will see which color she wants, and run it by the other two too, and have them order their dresses. WHEW! So easy. I have watched a few episodes recently of Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids and ho.lee.crap those girls are nuts. NUTS! I am grateful every minute that I only have 3 lovely women (all 35 and up), no craziness or cattiness.
- Going later this afternoon to meet w/ a men's stylist at Nordstrom, taking fi & his new suit, to pick out a shirt, tie, and shoes. Plus hopefully groomsmen's ties- we're just asking them to wear navy or grey suits and will give them ties that match one another.
- SATURDAY IS CAKE TASTING DAY SATURDAY IS CAKE TASTING DAY SATURDAY IS CAKE TASTING DAY!!

A little excited for that.
- Sunday is make-up trial run day. Should plan a fancypants dinner out aftewards, since I will have false eyelashes on. Heehee.
- Got a hair app't on Friday, going to talk more specifically w/ my hair guy about Wedding Hair (tm). And not let him cut those layers so short in front this time. DUDE!
- Going to attempt to con fi into going to Crate & Barrel to register on Sunday. Or Macy's. Not both on the same day.

Finished the registry (target and menards)

Continued working on invites (almost done)

Bought Thank you Cards

Sent deposit for ceremony chairs

That's about it, it wasn't a very productive week.

This week:

Have bridesmaid to start ordering dresses

Buy flowers for bouquets

Buy stuff to make bridesmaids jewelry (i have a 20% coupon for Michael

)

Set up appointment with venue to figure out menu etc.

Finish invites

Start looking at ring's for FI

Make sure FI makes an appointment with a Tux place

Call about tent for bridal shower

Make hair appointment and talk about wedding hair.

It's going to be a busy week!!!!!

- Work on ceremony/readings

- Look for spanx for friend's wedding/my wedding

- Possibly order part of parents gift

This past week:
-worked on my scrapbook and table numbers
-received two color chips from the girl on etsy that i'm ordering my cake topper from. i picked one of the colors so the whole thing should be coming this week!
-had my boudoir shoot! so much fun! i can't wait to get my pictures back!
-got both of our baptism & confirmation certificates from our home parishes

this upcoming week:
-will get cake topper in mail
-finish up painting table numbers
-get more pages and continue scrapbook
-spray paint my birdcages?
-add a few of the basic items to our registry (i have had a couple people ask me about it already, and i'm just surprised because my shower is still 3 months away and the wedding is 4)

This week was a little slower for me check wise, but that's ok cause the last two were crazy

This coming week is also going to be really slow, we have a major conference this coming weekend for the business so prep for that is taking top priority!

Last Week:
- Rehearsal dinner invites came in
- Finalized ideas for head table/wedding party tables

This Week:
Not planning on really doing anything this week... a week off wedding planning

Last week:

Received our invitations!

Started drafting the ceremony

Bought more makeup and tried it out

Worked on the wedding website

Made an appointment to get my hair cut and discuss a wedding hairstyle

Picked out 2 rental homes for my family to stay in the weekend of the wedding. This is actually a lot cheaper than hotels and they're in a nicer neighborhood than most hotels.

This week:

Book rental homes (waiting to hear from owners)

Return some of the makeup and get replacements

Finish the ceremony draft

Either finish the wedding website or scrap it, I'm just not sure it is useful

I feel like I had a very productive week wedding wise.

-I ordered my sample invite from C&P for final review. I hope it comes in the mail this week.
-The table linens that I ordered should also be in this week so I plan on ironing those.
-I finally got into contact with the minister who said he "wants" to officiate, but didn't give me a straight "yes/no" answer. This is getting very frustrating. I feel like we're playing a cat and mouse game. We're less than 5 months away so if he can't officiate he should let us know so we can make other arrangements.
-I made a tent layout and sent it to the rental company.
-I ordered a hair comb from etsy (need to check on this because it hasn't shipped)
-Cocktail napkins came in and I started embossing them.
-We applied for PASSPORTS! I'm super excited about this one! Now we MUST go out of the country for the Honeymoon.
-Cut burlap for tablerunners, debating on if I should hem these or just leave them natural.

- picked flower girl dresses

- picked all of the important songs for the ceremony and reception

- found a decorator for the ceremony

- finalized guest list

- ordered shapewear

     - attached rhinestone wrap to most of the vases for centerpieces
     - gave caterer a list of foods we want to try at our tasting

This week:
     - Look for wedding party and parents gifts
     - write out ceremony order
     - buy scoops for the candy buffet
     - buy rhinestone wrap for the cake
     - finalize decorations for the church
     - look for a local seamstress
     - give my sister/MOH guest list w/ addresses for the shower

-Started floor plans for reception dinner and rest of building decorations
-Emailed hair pic's to stylist and discussed options
-Picked songs for cd giveaways
-Made cd covers

This Week:
-Phone meeting with caterer
-Email reception venue with a couple questions
-Email wedding party Inn with a couple questions
-Start on rehearsal dinner invites
-Make good copy of ceremony outline (writing our own ceremony)
-Start on vow ideas
-Start working on MC outline
-Pick a poem to be read during ceremony
-FI to continue on making the reception playlist
-Make a contact list for the wedding weekend to give to people
