So I posted a really long time ago asking everyone's opinions on the tattooed bride... My mom still greatly disapproves but that's another post lol. Anyways, since I can add files from my iPad with the new features here is the pic I promised months ago! Thanks for all the feedbackimage

  • Pretty!
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I got my tat about a month before our wedding, and one of my aunts was freaking out about it when she heard I was getting one b/c ZOMG IT'S NOT GOING TO BE VISIBLE AT THE WEDDING, IS IT?!?  It wasn't, but that was one of the reasons I requested Jimmy put his facial piercings back in for the reception. He said he didn't want them in for the formal pics, but for the reception, it was like, Hey, this is who we are. Love us or leave us!

  • It's a nice tattoo! Rock it on your wedding day. Don't worry about the "nay-sayers".

I have a bird tat in the same spot! (Dove carrying an olive branch)

Mine will be fully visible at my wedding and I never considered covering it. It is part of me now, no need to hide it.

Very pretty! I'll be rocking my tattoo down the aisle, my dress is strapless so my entire back piece will be visible.
  • I like it :-)  you may have already said, but is there a special significance to the two birds / type of birds?

My tattoos were not visible on our wedding day - personal preference, I chose their locations so they wouldn't be visible in most attire.

My brother and his (now ex) wife got matching 'til death' tattoos.  This is what his rib cage looks like now:

  • @Kate61487 that tattoo is too funny! The birds are for my grandparents. Always had a connection with them and birds. The day of my grandmothers funeral the bird music box (has two birds on it.. Similar type) that she gave me started playing by its self when I came home. Lol Pele I remember you telling me that back in October when I was debating my tattoo. Too funny!
  • Very pretty! The lines/colors are beautiful.

I don't have any, but my younger sister (and BM) recently got several on her shoulders. I don't care if they show for my wedding, but my mother has just about lost her wig over it, and probably 10 years of her life worrying about it being "distracting as she walks down the aisle". *eyeroll*

It's part of who you are so Rock it!!!
  • Pretty! I'm not usually a fan of tattoos (which is funny because I want one but can't decide what I want!l) but yours is well designed with beautiful colors and crisp lines.
