Okay, you caught me because you definitely had a post about rabbits, and lured me in.  Rabbits are awesome - I've owned rabbits as long as I can remember, but right now I am away for school and my poor rabbit is back home, and I miss him.  He is big and fluffy and adorable - not the smartest rabbit, but still very awesome.  I went on a two hour train ride to another city because I knew they had a rabbit in the park that looked like my rabbit back home.  I am very pathetic, I know.

Maybe I can see if I can add a photo here . . . if it doesn't show up, I failed.

Oh, I got it to work.  Cocoa is the one on the right, Pestilence (Pest for short) is the one on the left.

I feel honoured!  Also, the bunny in your profile pic is very adorable, Kuus.

  • Thank you!  That was my Lipsy, who passed away last fall.  Here is another picture of her, this time with her pair-bond (who is still living, and rebonded):

  • Okay....^that rabbit is ridiculously cute.
  • it's so FLUFFY!
  • She is.  She's really sweet, too, and she can't see very well, so when she runs to greet you, she frequently has her angle a little off and has to turn around and course-correct.

They are all too cute!  Cocoa's pair bond Pest died last year, but because I am away I haven't been able to get him a new friend yet, and I feel so bad about him being lonely.  One of the first things I am doing when I am done school abroad is going to the shelter to adopt him a new friend.  I lurk on the shelter sites every few weeks to see the rabbits that they have . . . How old are yours?  Cocoa is turning 9 this year, and Pest was 6.

  • Lipsy was 11, so it was probably her time.  Poppy and Ashe are both 3ish.

If you're nearby, I can help you bond Cocoa with a new bun.

I appreciate the offer, but I'll be good.  People are always offering to give me their rabbits so there should be no shortage of finding one - I've had to turn down at least five offers, which was very, very difficult because they were all so cute.  But I don't understand people who get "tired" or their rabbits.  Moving and allergies is a good excuse to give them up, but boredom?

Actually, Cocoa was originally Pest's new companion - she was with my other rabbit, who lived to 14.  It took me a bit to bond them together, but then they got along so well.  Pest was an evil, evil rabbit, but I miss her like crazy.  She tore the insulation out of the wall once and convinced my parents that there were rats in the house.  Ah, memories.

  • I don't get that, either!  I have never known anyone who gave up a rabbit; mine are always either adoptions, or foster-to-adopt.

Those evil rabbits have SUCH personality.  I have one of those, too.

@PirateBarbie Aw, what a cutie!  I love the ones with the black ears - my sister had one that looked like that when we were growing up.  Also, Hercules the Hedgehog is an adorable name - is he yours or your cousin's?

  • Hercules is mine.
