Guestbook - what one?

I'm looking at guestbooks
We don't want a book guest book as we want to put it up on the wall after we move

these are the two options
The first you fill in a wave
the second you colour in a character and write something in the placard of the character (sorry the photo isn't that good)

    The wave, I am doing something similar, but it will be a tree and everyone will write their name in a leaf.

     I agree the first one is less complicated/time consuming. Although, I totally love the idea of the second one. It seems more fun, and I think it would be more unique to hang in your home. #2 if you displayed it well, & had a small frame with instructions in front of it, may be less complicated. Guests could make their way over to it through-out the night vs have it when they first enter the venue to avoid a traffic jam at the door. Just an idea anyways! :):)

    The wave. Some people may be put off at the prospect of coloring.

    Agree, those waves look like they might only be able to fit initials!  I also would not do the 2nd one.  Looks too time consuming.

    Thanks (was just going to have it on the side not when people walk in)

    The 2nd one is more us and our guests but fair point about the time consuming. (what if I said that the children at the wedding could colour in more than one character so adults don't need to colour in if don't want to?)
    1st one is small (A3 size all together) -hmm good point about size. But yep would be easier.

    I want something to put on the wall and don't want a tree or finger prints and lots of the other ones are too 'hearts and kisses' for either of us
