What the heck is going on???

You guys said you'd have all the new boards and glitches handled by the 16th! Today is the 17th and nothing has been fixed! Except now ALL the boards have the new glitches, including; our signatures are STILL messed up! And there's NO WAY for us to change them ourselves because you took away all the options on the left side menu! Why??? Also, there is no spell check anymore. The entire board is still stark white and why are our locations and number of posts gone from under our screen names? These little changes are LAME!!!!

Seriously the left side menu MUST RETURN!!! I can't figure out how to navigate to other boards without completely reloading the general community board, which is a total PAIN IN THE ASS! And the Update Signature option really needs to COME BACK too! Otherwise how do we update our signatures?? The siggy I'm stuck with is months old and one of my least favorites, didn't keep it up very long and am dying to change it... but I CAN'T!

Why did you guys say that all would be resolved by the 16th when it wasn't going to happen by then?

Please just change it back.

To change your siggy, click on the little person icon in top right, go preferences and click signature settings on the left. Easy peasy. And I don't miss the spell check button. Google Chrome gives me red squiggles to let me know I've spelled something wrong, which I prefer honestly.

Um... I don't think this would be effective even if this was a service you actually paid for. They really don't owe you an answer.

Thanks to CNF for actually giving me some info that I can use.

Honestly, it seems everyone else on here can vent and get upset whenever they like but the second I post how annoyed I am, without using any "no no words" in my op, I get reprimanded? Whatever.

It's really too bad, because I usually love reading posts by you "Regs" and more often then not I agree with your comments and advice. I just don't see why you need to jump all over someone for posting the same questions you all had a week ago. I just haven't been on in a couple days so don't know what, if any, answers were given....

The less trafficked boards changed over a few days before the heavier trafficked boards did and there's been a hundred and one complaint threads across just about every board at this point. Complaining is not going to fix or change anything. It's been over week now and I think people are just sick of seeing the same "I hate this, you didn't listen to what we want, change it back" whining posts everywhere. Don't take it so personally, seriously. It's really quite trivial in the end. I mean, it's just an internet forum, it's not like real life just 180'ed on you, ya know? Take it with a grain of salt.

Oh lawd almighty. Relax kitten. I've been on these boards for 2+ years and a bunch of glitches were never changed on the old layouts. I'm married to a web designer. A lot of the "improvements" we've asked for take minimal time, but other require a complete re-design. You can't just shove the left hand board links on this design. It needs to be wined, dined, told it's pretty, and then maybe it will spread its pixels and allow for some additional material to be inserted.

It's Friday. It's a gorgeous day here in NYC. Trust, the TK web designers aren't going to magically make everything perfect before they bail work early to go see Star Trek. You might have to wait until Tuesday.

It will be ok. Look at the cute kitten.

By the way, TK Gods also said they are bringing back the location and post count under our avatars.

You're right Pele, my approach was way off. I know I used some caps to convey yelling but instead I should have just asked calmly. Unfortunately my stress levels are a bit high these days... really wish I'd edited my op before posting it as is, I probably wouldn't have posted half of that rant. But at least I know better than to dirty delete.

Therapy. If the stress in your life is so high you can't think through your words before saying/posting them you need to work on that.

If you are stressed about message boards not being correct and you are 3 weeks from you wedding, I think you have deeper problems. Message boards should be the LEAST of your worries.

And I never said I was "unaware of what I was saying" it was how I went about it that I realize was completely irrational. I just had a little melt down over being frustrated with the message boards which I believe came out the way it did because I'm a tad overwhelmed with other things (unrelated to the message boards). I do not have deeper problems that require therapy, I just got annoyed and posted a lame outburst.

Sorry to disturb everyone's day. I'm fine now.

I actually hit a sort of bridal zen a month out from the wedding. Everything was basically done, so it was just letting things go on autopilot and knowing it was too late to plan most other things, so it was just having a Plan B if something fell through. I was stressed the day before the wedding, but that was timing issues with people getting into town/logistics.

I'm glad you've got yourself back under control (and I totally agree about the side bar thing, that's really annoying...)

I'm two weeks out and not stressed one bit. At this point it's going to be what it's going to be and I can roll with that. I got a lot of planning and work for it done ahead of time for this reason. Now it's time to kick up my feet and enjoy my last two weeks of unmarried life.
