Still waiting for our BentlyWilson pictures from our 4.20 wedding...

I'm getting very frustated with Todd. Our wedding was on 4/20 and we generously tipped $100. I was told we would have the CD and prints in about 3 weeks. I sent Todd an email on Fri 5/3 asking when we could expect them and he said he would be shipping them priority mail next week. We are now on week 4 so I emailed him again on Tuesday asking if he had a tracking number and he got back to me yesterday to tell me there was a delay and they hadn't been shipped yet but he would be shipping them that day. I quickly emailed back to ask if I could PAY for overnight shipping. I haven't heard back so I resent the message this morning.

I'm beyond frustrated and now I"m just pissed. Just a warning to any other brides using Todd / Bently and Wilson. I've heard that many brides get their pictures in about 2 weeks so I don't know why it looks like I have to wait at least 5. We fed the guy dinner, had a very small wedding with only 13 guests and as I Said, tipped generously. I'm dissatisfied to say the least. These better be some AMAZING pictures...

I was a 4/20 bride with Todd too and haven't received anything. I only tipped a small amount thinking we'd send more if we really liked them etc. I haven't emailed ( planned to on week 4 on sat) but he told us 3 weeks too I wanted to use the photos and get thank you cards made but I'm worried it's getting to be too late!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one still waiting. Man, he's a busy guy, we had him for 6 hours that day! I would email to see if he can give you a ETA, hey we already paid and tipped!

I'd recommend being patient; I know he's been booked pretty solid lately based on all the reviews. I personally think he sets too high an expectation on delivery time; always better to set a lower expectation and exceed it rather than the opposite.

If he doesn't answer an email overnight, I wouldn't send a second one. This is high time for wedding season, and some people don't check their email every five minutes (especially when they're busy proofing hundreds of wedding photos...)

You're at 3.5 weeks right now. It'll be four weeks on Saturday. If he doesn't give you a tracking number by Saturday, I would CALL, not email. Calling is always better than emailing for a variety of reasons.

Agreed. I added a week or two to his quote since three weeks seems pretty fast, even for late October. He takes around 1500 pictures if you have him for eight hours.

Well good news, Todd just got back to me with his apologies (he said he only checks email 1x per day) and wanted to let me know he sent them out on 5/15 and provided a priority mail tracking number and they show they should be delivered tomorrow!

So Frankensteinsgirl - you must be right behind me if you don't get them today or tomorrow

i was just going to write apost about this. Our wedding was 4/24 and still nothing, didnt want to bug him tho because I know he is a busy guy and we had him 8 hours so thats lots of pics. i cant wait to see them!! Everything is on hold waiting for the pics and I cant wait to start my scrapbook!

Oh goodness! I hope, if it's me, it's flattering at least LOL. I got mine today too! in 2 hours we ended up with over 400 pictures. I do wish he'd have let me know when my back fat was out of control or had me position another way in a lot of them. We aren't really picture people and I let him know that- he directed us a little but I wish he'd have done the 'drop your chin' or 'turn more to the side' to help get more flattering photos LOL But I'm still very happy!

Ok now Im getting worried about having Todd. Ive loved his portfolio but Im not exactly a skinny minny and will need direction on how to pose... I don't want to look awful in my wedding pics! @frankensteinsgirl and @davidandrebecca do you mind sharing some of your flattering pics

MissMo - there are lots of tips out there from photographers. Google "How to pose plus-size bride". You should be able to find a lot of blogs with pictures and even some YouTube videos with examples.

If you are not plus-sized, please don't take offense. The same tricks work for average-size and even thin women who want to optimize the way they look in photos. Skin tends to fold when you pose a certain way, no matter how much you weigh, so there are lots of tips out there for minimizing double chins, back fat, neck rolls, etc.

It's just easier to find those tips if you use "Plus-size bride" as a search term.

I agree. Looking at the pics i wish he had given us more direction on how to pose. I have worked with some photogs that do that well and others that don't. I from time to time need a little reminder even though I had read up on the tricks. A friendly reminder to get rid of my double chin would have been appreciated!

So sorry! Thought I responded. Don't worry! He took over 400 in two hours, there were plenty good ones but some I would've really loved if I had been positiond another way or reminded to be mindful of my chin etc lol. Also, I noticed with my bouquet, I wish he'd of had me drop it down lower on many of the shots with it. nd just for future brides- again, I'm not a picture person really so I didn't even think of this (I gave him NO direction, seriously, none) but many of our photos are from far away- only a few are close ups, so if you want those say somehting
