So I went to the gym last night and went to put my stuff in the locker I normally use. When I opened it up I saw a Micheal Kors bag with an iphone sitting in it, (see photo) and thought about how trusting people are. So my question is, do you lock your stuff up when you go to the gym?

I usually leave my stuff in the car and then just take my water bottle and keys in with me, then i leave my keys in the basket in the front! But this is if im working out with my personal trainer or i know i cant put my stuff somewhere.
If i need to change or need my headphones, etc and bring in my gym bag, i take my bag with me to the class and leave it on the side. I've even been on the treadmill/elliptical and ill put my bag against the wall behind me where its not in the way but i can see it!

I would never leave my stuff in the locker unlocked. I would be that person that someone would steal something from and instead of dealing with the hassle id rather my stuff near me or in the car.

I go to Curves and they have shelves/cubbies out in the open so I leave my stuff there. When I worked out at the Y I would leave clothes in a locker but kept my keys with me. I used to lock my purse in the car.

ALWAYS lock my stuff up at the gym. A lot of other people don't which is a very bad habit! Once, while I was in my Pilates class, someone came in a raided the entire woman's locker room! Every locker that didn't have a lock was opened and everything in them was stolen! Thankfully, my stuff was all locked up and was safe. The gym that I go to is in a "very safe" suburb...goes to show that no place is truly "safe".

I usually leave things in my car and would never leave it just in the locker! I've been quite paranoid since getting my e-ring though.....

Generally, yes, but lately since I've been running, my gym (a Planet Fitness) has a "fence" in front of most of the rows of Treadmills so I jus hang my bag right in front of me, so I can see it the whole time. But, that's also because it's summer and I don't need layers or a coat or anything. But if I'm not keeping it right on my person the whole time, then yes, I absolutley lock up.

I have put my clothing in a locker without a lock when I was swimming, but as far as my phone and purse? No way!

I would never leave my belongings like that anywhere un attended. I usually leave it locked in my car or on my person or at least in perfect sight.

My clothes and stuff I will sometimes leave in a locker. But wallet, cell phone keys, jewelry etc, NO WAY.

My gym is like Petals, they have open cubbies you can leave stuff and the gym is small. I leave stuff there, but when I was going to a larger gym with a locker room? No way would I leave purse, keys, etc. in there unlocked.

So I don't really go to the gym anymore (run around my neighborhood instead), but when I used to, I'd lock everything up.

Our city is not the safest in the world, and I don't trust any of my stuff out in the open. I know people who leave their cars unlocked and houses. I just can't do that. I'm way too paranoid.

I don't lock my stuff up, but the only thing I keep in the locker would be my bag, clothes, and an extra water bottle. -- None of which would devastate me if they were taken. -- I keep my keys with me and my phone and purse stay locked in my car.

The Y is about 2 minutes from my house so I walk and never take my purse with me. When I am on the treadmill/elliptical I keep my keys with me. When I swim, I leave my cloths and stuff in the locker room with my keys. And the only reason I even bring my keys is because my swipe card is on them.

I cannot believe someone would do that. I would leave my purse and phone locked in my trunk usually. Leaving it unlocked like that is incting someone to steal it.

I will leave clothes, and keys (in a zipper pocket) in an old beatup bag in the locker but leave my purse in the car.

There is a key rack at the gym (planet fitness) but its open for anyone so I dont feel as safe leaving it out in the open for someone to take mine instead.
