Wedding Invitations & Paper

Reply Card Question

We are doing our own invitations, and I just have a question with the reply card. I have the M _______ then under that I have two lines will attend,  will not attend. Do the guests automatically know to write a number in there or do they just check which line? If they check the line, do I assume everyone invited is attending? Or do I add a line under will attend with number attending? Sorry for all the questions, I don't have much to go off for this since we always mail our reply cards back.

Re: Reply Card Question

  •  On the M_____ line, we wrote in the names of the people invited and the guests filled in the other lines with numbers. I think already having the names on there helps remind people you're looking for numbers. I think we only had a couple people just put a check instead of a number and then I just called to clarify.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

For us, everyone wrote in on the RSVP card.  For example, M_______ the guest wrote Mr. & Mrs Sally Smith.  Then even if they just checked the accept or decline, we knew how many.  We had one couple fill in Mrs Sally Smith and wrote a note on the bottom that her husband was unable to attend.  We also used inner envelopes and it was explicitly stated who was invited.  I don't think we had any confusion with this.
  • Thank you!! That helps a lot!
