We are getting married on the beach and having our reception at a house on the beach next to the ceremony site (walking distance). We want to have sunset pictures, but we cannot get them until 6:30-7. Our reception must end at 10:00 due to policies so we do not want to start our ceremony later because we do not want a short 3 hour reception to cram everything in. That being said, we would like the ceremony to start at either 4:30 or 5:00 (it will only be a half an hour tops) with cocktail hour immediately following. When is a good time during the reception to leave for sunset photos? I thought maybe once we cut the cake, it would be passed around and that is when we would go take photos? I don't know..help me brides!!! I was also thinking of only keeping cocktail hour a half hour after the wedding while I take family photos then go straight into the reception. There is no need to take an entire hour if my fiance and I will be taking more pics during sunset.
I dont know if this matters, but it will be a small wedding with about 50 people and it is destination. (In Florida, family is from up north) I doubt my family would be upset if we left for 25 minutes for extra photos, we just need to know at what point in the wedding we should have that happen?
Itinerary help is much needed!! I really hope this didn't confuse anyone.
