manolos something blue for less

hey everyone! ive JUST started planning my big day.
and the very first thing i did was thing of sex and the city something blue! haha

ive dreamed of the day when i could wear my glass slipper
So i was hunting on ebay and i was like OMG i am NOT going to drop $1,000 on shoes!
so i did the next best thing (Dont judge, im on a budget and paying for my own wedding)
http://www.jessyjadebag.com/shoes-c-55.html?zenid=0c2eiku4j153vkgojukmm9ifd1
my beautiful manolos came a few days ago they were about $160 with shipping.
I FEEL LIKE A PRINCESS ALREADY !!
Im on to dress hunting next, if i find a super duper deal I will post it, but i cannot imagine topping this find :-D

Re: manolos something blue for less

  • Yeah, those aren't real manolos. Not only are they not real, but that website is infringing on the intellectual property of manolo blahnik, which is illegal.

  • And, to add on to Button's post, they won't be nearly as comfortable as Manolos or last like a pair of Manolos would.   If your only concern is the look, well, hopefully you accomplished that. But, I'd rather pay $200.00 for a pair of real Badgley Mischka's than paying $150-200 for a pair of cheap knockoff Manolos.
  • well im thrilled with them!

ofcourse i know they are not " real" but that doesnt make them any less amazing in my eyes.

atleast girls have the CHOICE to own their dream shoes without going broke.

  • ive also so been lusting after these shoes but am not willing to over pay for the real ones.
im new here and im learning a ton
im going to order on my next pay check. they look fab
i guess we will be shoe twins hehe
    you go girl!
  • I'm glad you're thrilled with them, but I'd prefer the real deal over knock-offs. I saved and saved and saved for months for my Louboutin shoes and got them at a great price from ebay (and had it confirmed that they were not knock offs by a reputable cobbler).

  • yes us girls work really hard for what we have. it feels good when we treat ourselves to what we like. some replicas are getting so good these days , i was just looking at these manolos that chilipepper bought, and they even had the correct stamping on the bottoms amazing !
after dropping nearly 5k on my dress im sure my hubby will be happy that i pinched a few pennys on the shoes lol.

  • The "correct stamping" is, again, a violation of intellectual property and copyright laws. If you're happy promoting someone's illegal venture then by all means, more power to you. You certainly do have the choice, but you can also choose to do the right thing and purchase a real pair of shoes legitimately produced by the legitimate company.

  • Also, I saved for a year to purchase my Kate Spade shoes, and they were only $40 more than those fake manolos. I'm sorry, but I can't be excited over knockoffs.

  • how sweet you are to pass on this link chilipep! im sure a lot of us girls will love to order these shoes
i bought the real manolos in the flats a few months ago and i can say for sure the ones in your link are the same! thats so cool!
buttons needs to take a chill pill.
everyone knows designers all copy off each other anyways
and btw kate spade is made in china and its not even really a brand per say.
thanks for taking time out of your day to share your amazing find. In this economy im sure there are tons of brides who will be ordering.
we are all here on this forum to share joy! so buttons cheer up LOL

  • Am I the only one that gets the feeling that all of these agreeing posters are the same person trying to promote this illegal knock off site?

Also I feel as though posting illegal knock offs shouldn't be permitted on this board.  I don't know if that is a real rule, I assume it's not.

  • @luvforfluffy, designers may "copy off of each other" but the above linked website is not the website of a designer but of a thief.

And seriously? Kate Spade isnt a brand? Of course it is.  Just like Manolo Blahnik is a brand.  "jessyjadebag" is not a brand.  She steals the ideas of companies and reproduces them.

I dont need a chill pill.  How would you feel if you made something and people stole your idea and kept reproducing it in a cheap, likely shoddy way?  The designers behind large luxury brands like Manolo, Louis Vuitton, etc work hard to design unique products only for people to steal their copyrighted ideas.

@LMc0322, I guarantee all of those posters are the same person. And considering that knockoffs are inherently illegal, I really dont think links like this should be posted on any board.

  •  Designers do copy each other, gather inspiration, and incorporate similar details, but that is very different from what this site is doing. In her FAQ, she even states that she has done everything she could to make them indistinguishable from the originals, only changing the serial numbers.

Other than knockoffs being illegal, they are also morally wrong. Buy buying them, customers are supporting an illegal, dishonest, and immoral act for the sake of false vanity.

I definitely agree that these posters are the same person. The writing style is dead-on.

  • I just dont understand why you would want knockoffs to the extent that they have fake stamping, and then brag about it on the internet? I'd be really embarassed to be wearing knockoffs on my wedding day. You just seem like a poser. A vendor, too, but mostly a poser.

I agree, this is super fishy and smells like a vendor to me.  I wish the city and post count still showed on the boards, I think that would have been a dead giveaway.

Vendor was the first thing I thought, too.

I would be embarrassed that I purchased a fake shoe to wear on my wedding day. What exactly do I have to prove to anyone?

At the end of the day, YOU know its a fake, why would you bother? If you have the money, great... if not go to DSW or Macys just like everyone else. No one gives a shiii

Its a chinese knockoff site, and I will hope that no knottie will purchase from them!

    ALSO BAN !

  • It's funny that fluffy thinks I'm ugly considering you can't see my face in my sig pic.
