Wedding Program

Is there any kind of standard protocol for what goes into wedding programs for the ceremony? Just curious :)

    Protocol for what?

The purpose of programs is to let guests know what's going on during the ceremony, and likely the names of the bridal party and immediate family.

You can Google "Wedding program samples" for more specific examples

No, wedding programs are optional, so they're not really "standardized."

I guess if I looked at one, I'd expect to see the names of the couple, their families and wedding party members, any special information about the ceremony (for example, religious/cultural traditions being used, especially if it was not mainstream), and perhaps tributes to deceased loved ones.  Sometimes houses of worship automatically prepare them for ceremonies taking place in their sanctuaries.

But beyond that, it's really up to the couple.

Even if you're not doing them yourself, it still gives you ideas of what to include. We bought blank templates at Michaels for really cheap (use 40% off coupon) and printed our own.
