MrsConn is drinking.  V is drinking and pedaling.  What's everyone else up to?

We have t ball tomorrow and that is the only thing planned.  We have a bunch of yardwork and I'd like to sneak in some closet organization.  I put on a dress last night and couldn't find the belt for it.  Then couldn't find a shoe to go with a different dress.  I hate sharing a closet with DH.  He's messy and leaves the door open.  Whatever he doesn't destroy M2 gets in and does.

ETA:  BIL was supposed to hear about financing FIL's house last week.  Then it got pushed off to this Monday.  I've been messaging SIL a little and she hasn't said boo about whether they were approved or not (in fact she hasn't even said it's FIL's house).  Getting to a closing is one thing, but approval shouldn't be this hard.  I'm going to try to make the best of the ball game with MIL and see what she knows.

    We don't have much planned.  Son has a birthday party tomorrow and DH was asked to work on Sunday and Monday.  He'll still be home before noon both days, but it sucks he has to wake up so early on what should be a 3 day weekend for him.  He hasn't had a 2 day weekend in several months.

    Probably get some housecleaning and yard work done, while it's unseasonably cool. DH's relatives stopping through this weekend, some of them have never seen DD in person, so that'll be fun. I may work on one of my crafty projects that got tabled for months due to work related crap. Got my résumé from the fabulous Mizz Blizz, looks great, so I may post that this weekend along with doing some LinkedIn tidy up.

    Also found out that I'm likely to get a promotion sometime soon based on current position (its in HR review now), other opportunities showing themselves, so we'll see how things go over the summer.

    Tonight: celebrating being halfway done with baby baking

    Tomorrow: picking up our crib mattress, going to Ikea for nursery frames, housewarming/birthday party for BIL and his GF

    Sunday: Buy and plant some flowers, have dinner w/ friends (brisket!) and see either Gatsby or Star Trek

    Monday: nothing!

    We're likely having our wedding at a nearby state park, so we're going on Sunday to look at the ceremony and reception rooms to make sure we want them.  I'm not opposed to having an outdoor wedding, especially in such a beautiful place, but I can't control the weather so we're definitely looking into indoor options.

     

    As for tomorrow, we've been invited by FMIL to their house for breakfast.  I don't know if we're going or not yet.  FI said he'd really like to sleep in, and I know I'd like to as well. FMIL and FFIL live a little more than an hour away (as do my own parents).

    Drinking, pedaling and listening to some music.  We're leaving at 2 today.  Last minute packing going on now, then dog/car exchange and we're off!

    Running, breakfasting with parents (returned from 3+ week vacation), mowing the lawn.  Hanging out with H.

    Sunday is canoeing and then camping.  Most likely some of it will be in the rain.  Hopefully the river isn't too high...eeps.  Last year it was drought and this year?  Flood.

    WTF.

    Much drinking will be had.

    FI and I were supposed to do engagement photos this weekend but he broke his pinky knuckle playing softball and for some reason his whole forearm was put in a cast for the next six weeks. Boo. Guess our photo shoot will have to wait.

    Laundry. TV. Maybe seeing Iron Man 3. I don't have to work Monday, which is nice, but it's just switched with my usual Wednesday off, so. And at some point next week I have to clean the house, because my brother's coming with his wife and my brand-new nephew on their way to Idaho for a vacation. 

    It would also be nice to write something, but we'll see. I'm trying to fix my query and synopsis for Madness, because I know I put all my hate for that book into the ones I have, and it's showing in all the rejections I'm getting.

    Doing some anniversary celebrating today. I plan on pizza and cake and sleep.
    tomorrow, maybe I can squeeze yard work in. Then a nap for work that night.
    Sunday, sleep off work. More yard work. Late night happy hour at a place near my sister.
    Monday, game day for Husband's birthday. More cake.

    chainsawing up a tree that came down, yard work.
    A picnic w/ the kiddo on Sunday, I think, and BBQ w/ my folks on Monday.

    Also, on memorial day, we'll try to go to the parade and it ends @ the cemetary, so I'll be planting flowers for gramps and gram.
