Marriage License Dilemma

Hi Everyone--
I live in NYC but my fiance and I are getting married in Sharon, MA. I am trying to figure out when we should get our marriage license as we will not be arriving in Massachusetts until the Thursday before our Sunday wedding.

Does anyone know how difficult going for a court order to waive the 3 day waiting period is? Thank you!!!!!

    I have a similar issue... I live in California and am getting married in Boston in October. I'm going to be out in September for my bridal shower and was thinking of dragging my fiance along with me and getting it then. Most places recommend you get it about a month before the wedding.

    Given that you live closeby in NYC maybe you could make a special trip out well before your wedding to avoid any hassle?

    Yeah, we made a special trip up to get it done. It's annoying but I imagine getting a court order would be much more annoying.
