Second marriage, second wedding, we are old too, what is etiquette

We are both 51, second marriage, grown children, small wedding, etc.

What's the etiquette.

For example, the bouquet toss, the garter throw, first dance and being walked down the aisle. (All of which we've opted not to do, but wedding is in June, so all this can be dealt with). Do we do this? Is there an etiquette to all this?

Thanks

We opted out of the bouquet and garter toss. We didn't have an aisle per se (we entered in front of our guests), my mom escorted me and my DH's daughter and mom escorted him.  We did do a first dance because it was important to us, and a mother/son dance which turned into a moms and bride and groom dance (both of our dads had passed).

You can do what you want with regard to what items you wish to include or exclude - it's totally fine to skip things that you don't  like or don't feel apply to your situation.

Do what makes your heart sing.  Skip anything that gives you hives.  DH & I skipped everything you listed except the first dance.  We took dancing lessons and learned how to properly foxtrot to our first dance song, so that we weren't the old people doing the 8th grade shuffle.

It's not really etiquette, it's tradition, and not even necessarily hard & fast traditions.  So host the ceremony & celebration that reflects who you two are.  Have fun doing it.  ~Donna

Donna has great advice as usual. Most of the brides on this board do what they want, there isn't really any etiquette. We were in our mid 50's when we married in August 2011. We didn't do a bouquet or garter toss (everyone there was over 50 or a teenager), we did the cake cutting thing, a first dance, the parent's dance.
