I'm trying to figure out whether I should set aside tips for my hair/makeup artist and my DJ. Normally, I think, both are tipped. But the reason I'm confused is because both own their own businesses- they're not part of a larger company. All the money for the services, then, is already going straight to them (minus their own expenses, of course). So it's not like I'd be tipping a hair stylist in a salon or one DJ of ten who works for a company, who only gets a piece of what the service costs. What is normal in this situation?
