Has anyone had their wedding on tv?

A friend of mine recently was on Say Yes to the Dress NY and she said it was so nerve racking.

My FH works for a wedding planner here in LV and his boss mentioned our wedding being on a show,

I don't know how I feel. On one hand I'm sure she'd do a lot for free just for the publicity but is it worth it?

I definitely see pros and cons.  The pro of course being the free stuff, but the major cons being added stress and probably less flexibility.  They have to get the things that they want on film, and your guests might be a bit put out by the cameras.
I don't think I would like to have my wedding filmed on Four Weddings.  I would absolutely love to go to other people's weddings and see what they do, but I wouldn't want three strangers at mine tearing apart everything I do . . .

  • Kerbohl, I know what you mean.

4 weddings seems fun as a guest but it would be stressful as a bride. I'd tell people "Dance with them! Don't let my drunk aunt talk to them! OMG keep my husbands friends away from them!"

I wouldn't want to do this.  First, I wouldn't want to have to worry about invasive cameras and tv moments taking me away from the wedding, and second I wouldn't want to be in any competition with other brides.  The focus should be on the people getting married, and the loved ones in attendance.  Not cameras, editing, and confessionals, in my opinion.

I don't judge anyone who does it, b/c lord knows I watch these shows like it's my job, but I wouldn't want to be on any.
