What do you all do when you go to Austin?

I am heading to Austin this weekend to celebrate my MOH's birthday. We have our usual hangouts, but I am wondering what you guys do whenever you head in ATX?

When I was younger, used to party on 6th street, go to hula hut to eat/drink (at 3825 lake austin blvd) before hitting the bars, liked going to Barton Springs (usually packed in the summer even though water is chilly) $3 entrance, $3 parking. And of course drinking it up while tubing.

Now, I enjoy going to picnic at Mount Bonnell, no entrance fee, the view is wonderful, short hike. Located at: 3800 Mt. Bonnell Dr

    *6th street.
*rent a boat and hang out at lake travis
*go to the river (its only like 30 mins away)
when my godsister use to live there we'd throw parties at her apartment

I used to LOVE 6th Street in college, but I just spent last weekend there for my bachelorette, and enjoyed West 6th and 4th street a LOT more.

I eat a lot in Austin. Everything is just so delicious :-).

I second going to the lake, renting a small boat, or heading to the river and going tubing. You can also hike or rent a bike around Town Lake, catch a movie and dinner at Alamo Drafthouse, catch a comedy show or concert...mmm...shopping at The Domain or South Congress.

    Have fun!

I grew up in Austin, and have done just about everything. Every time I take my fiance and/or my future brother-in-law (which has been a LOT in the past few months to do wedding planning things) we do something different each time.
