affordable/pretty wedding centerpieces

I am having difficulty deciding what centerpieces to go with.  My colors are lavender and grape with some white and silver.  I was originally thinking 3 vases with flower in them and a candle at the top.  Now I am think about maybe mercury glasses.   Suggestions?  I'm a visual person, so pictures would help!

    Hi - my fiance came up w/ something that all of us - and the florist love - and it's saving money to boot. On half the tables we will have three square vases of various heights with floating candles in the top and seaglass, shells and something else in the bottoms. I really looks beautiful - i wish we had a photo!!! Flowers are just so expensive, anything you can do to add color or light w/ non-living things is a plus! we also debated putting fish in them, but recently had a fash of our little fishies dying, so we're avoiding floaters now. good luck!!
