  From your post, it sounds like she gained weight. I would double check the measurements. Is it so small she's uncomfortable?

  It sounds like maybe she gained a few pounds.  What size was the sample that she tried on?  Sometimes, the samples are quite stretched out, but if the shop measured her at an 8, and she ordered an 8, she should have been fine unless her measurements have increased.

  Most dresses can be let out up to one size. Some, slightly less. If it's just "snug", she might be ok if she just adds some shapewear.   When is the wedding?  If it's not for a while, hang on to the dress and see where she is by the time the first fitting rolls around.  She could just have been bloated or up a few pounds.

  The wedding is September 28th and the first fitting is at the end of July.

  Again, if it's just "snug", I wouldn't worry about it to much. Just make sure your daughter watches her weight and drinks plenty of water.  If it doesn't FIT, (like won't zip/close) I would consider talking to a seamstress sooner, in case you need to find another dress.  Snug can usually easily be let out.  Not fitting is another story.

  does it close in the back zipper or button or do you have a corsett back.? if it does not even close in the back then you would need to have a panel added
