Reception and hors d'oeurves Help!!

We will be serving hors d'oeurves at our reception.  How do I let guests know there will be enough food and they won't go hungry?  I need a way to word it for my reception card.  Thanks!

Re: Reception and hors d'oeurves Help!!

  • Are you doing a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and then a dinner or are you having an hors d'oeuvre only reception? If it is the first I would just say the start time of the cocktail hour and start time of when dinner will be served. If you have a cocktail hour people will assume there will be some kind of food served there. If you are just doing an hors d'oeuvre reception state that on the card. If you have it during a meal time, make sure you have enough hors d'oeuvres to make up a full meal for everyone.

  • I was in charge of a work party where we served hors d'oeurves (action type stations) for dinner. I put on the invite heavy hors d'oeurves will be served (or something along those lines).
