March 15th brides - Check list status?

What is the status of your check list?  We've managed a few BIG check marks, even after a little snafu of our church originally saying NO because of it being lent and then turning around a week later (after we booked our ceremony at our reception location) saying that they would marry us. Their excuse? Having to research and see if it was "allowed" only to find out that there is NO church law saying we can't get married during lent.

Here's what we've checked off so far:

  • Church - Full catholic mass
  • Reception
  • My wedding gown (wearing my mother's gown from 1979)
  • Colors (Navy & yellow with white and pink)
  • Photographer
  • Options for girls dresses

Next to work on (no particular order):

  • DJ or Band (really pushing for DJ)
  • Limos
  • Florist
  • Finalizing girls dresses
  • STD's and invites
  • Videographer (possible but might not happen)
  • favors
  • bridal party gifts
  • salon for day of hair
  • rehearsal dinner location
  • Day after transportation HOME

We have 289 days....eeek!!!!!! How's your lists coming along?

    I can help with a DJ!! We booked a FANTASTIC DJ who has done several ppls events that we knew. I had seen him in action and he was really great and affordable. Where are you located? We are in the DFW area and he is doing our March 8th wedding. His name is ED and he is really amazing! I will give you his number if you would like.

    soontobemrsbuccheri, you should check out VenueAudio. I think they're based out of central Jersey and very reasonable. I went with a different DJ, but seriously considered them.

    @imjustshell: we're in Central NJ, so unless that DJ will travel on his on dime into NJ for our wedding, we'll consider it. LOL.
