I am having the hardest time thinking of gifts to give parents at the wedding! Whenever I ask my parents for gift suggestions they always just respond with "you don't need to get us anything". Their birthdays are also the week before the wedding, so is FI's, so I'm also trying to balance birthday gifts. Would a nice photo album filled with our engagement pictures make a nice gift? I would like to include wedding pictures too but obviously wouldn't have those in time so maybe I should use the album idea for another occasion. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    FI and I were going to get a nice print of wedding pictures with us and them for the parents' gifts. Maybe leave a few pages blank at the end for wedding pictures? I think an album sounds lovely. You could also do a gift card to their favorite restaurant for a date night.

    We got 8x10 Lenox frames on sale for about $25 each, and we're going to put either an engagement picture or a picture from our engagement party with the parents in each.  We'll also write a nice note to go with it.  After the wedding we'll make albums with wedding pictures, but that may end up being a Christmas gift.

    We let them know (casually before the wedding) that we would be providing them with albums of professional pictures as soon as we could after the wedding.

    They didn't want any more "things".

    I'm getting frames for two 5x7s, putting a picture of me + parent in one and leaving the other open for a wedding picture of their choice. Then I'll write them a nice note in a card.

    I'm mostly with PPs - I don't think any of them really want big gifts from our wedding.

    It's more a thank you gift since our parents are footing the entire cost. Thanks for the suggestions!

    I'm giving my parents a gift certificate for dinner. FMIL gets a Pandora bracelet. No idea for FFIL and FSMIL yet.

     I trump all the Kitties with cuteness!!! Bhahahahaha!!!

    We gave my mom a bottle of our homemade mead, my dad got a gift card for dinner and we didn't give his folks anything (his choice).

    Yes I want to do photo albums but I think I would rather wait until Christmas so we can do a nice wedding album. Restaurant gift certificates are a good idea! We can also include a framed engagment picture and nice note I think.

    @gamerkytten - Be wary of Shutterfly.  We got his parents an album from them for Christmas and a bunch of prints, they all looked very washed out.  Not bad, but the colors weren't very sharp.

    The moms are getting Coach bags.  Dunno about FI's dad yet, I'm letting him figure that out. :)

    We'll probably order some kind of album for them later.
