When does the Groom's Mom enter?

Is the Groom's Mother part of the processional? Is she seated prior to the MOB entering?

Re: When does the Groom's Mom enter?

  • MOB is the last person seated MOG is right before her.

There are many modern options. In my religion, it's traditional for both parents to escort the groom and the bride.

    Ours went:

    Groom and parents

    Wedding party

    Bride and parents

This is how we'll be doing it.

@CMGr , it's true for most Catholics like me now, too.
  • This is generally up to the bride and groom (with influences from tradition).  If the MOB is part of the processional I think MOG should be too so you're not playing favorites.

We had the grandparents enter, then MIL with H, then mom with my brother.  Then mom and MIL went up on the alter to light the unity candle's side candles.
