DIY

Anyone doing any wedding diy?? Post pics here/ and give eachother some last minute inspiration!

Re: DIY

  • Tossing cones were gonna put lavender in for our exit of the ceremony, our table numbers, and a sign I made for our candy bar, but I'm not sure if were gonna use it yet
  • We're totally doing some DIY!

-We're making our own programs.  Printing them on pale yellow paper, and folding them into blue card stock.  They'll be tied together with ribbon :)

-We're using the same materials to make table cards for the reception.

-Cute DIY boxes for the ring bearers to carry our rings in.  My MOH actually decorated these for us, and they're awesome!

-Guestbook.  It'll be more of a scrapbook.  We'll put a couple pictures of us on each sheet, and decorate them.  Each table will get a sheet along with some fancy pens to sign and write whatever they want.  When the wedding is over, we'll put them all in the scrapbook!

-Music.  We're having a trombone choir for the processional (Pachebel Canon) recessional (not sure yet), and reception entrance music (76 trombones).  FI and I met playing trombone, so this is completely appropriate!  Anyway, I'm writing the arrangements myself, which is quite the project.  So far, so good!

  • Oh wow! That sounds amazing! Do u have picturs of the ring box? I bought a small wood box and I'm going to paint and decorate it for my rb to bring down!ill workon it next week (im doing painting then) then post more pics
  • I'm doing my own fan programs.
Also my own escort and place cards.
And we are buying everything to do our own Sundae bar.
As well as doing our own centerpieces. And I haven't started on any of it yet. Whew!

I have pics at home, I'll post some tonight. :)

I cut the pieces on my Silhouette machine.
  • @Price4life-this is basically what we're going off of: http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-planning/wedding-programs/articles/diy-wedding-program-instructions.aspx

I'm not quite sure how it's all going to come together yet, but I can't wait to do them!  I don't know how it compares to vista print, but it will cost us about $40 to do 200 of them!

  • We are DIYing bridesmaids bouquets (baby's breathe) and bud vases(to supplement center pieces), place cards (card stock & wine corks), painting picture frames for the table numbers, and I'm planning to make a big K & G out of wine corks. FI is also building our altar.
