I need your vote on a potential bridesmaid dress!

Hi ladies!

One of my besties is getting married this summer (July). She asked all of the girls to buy their own dress with the requirements being short and in the color family of seaglass. I'm super happy about both of these options but now am obsessing.

First, it's a 5:30 wedding so it will go into the night. Second, 2 of the girls have more casual dresses and another 2 of the girls have a chiffon style dress.

I bought these dresses, and my concerns.

First dress, it's shown in a pink but I got it in a light green. Color is great but I'm wondering if this "cotton cady" material is going to be too casual?

Second dress,  nixed, looks awful on.

Third dress, nixed, love it but they don't have it in my size/color combo :(

Forth dress, fits nicely but almost makes me look a little larger than I am and a little pregnant.

I really love the first but my casual fear is making me think I should wear the last one. We are wearing silver heels and she bought us a simple/classy silver necklace, earrings and bracelet so the jewelry is already selected (ie. I can't dress it up with this).

Thoughts? Please help. Thank you ladies!!

  • Doesn't look like TheKnot is showing my hyperlink...sorry!

    Thanks again!
  • I like the first one the best. The fourth one is cute but the way the skirt is attached tends to give you a tummy even if you don't have one. The material on the first one might be less formal but I think the cut/silhouette makes up for that.
  • Definitely agree. I say go with the first dress :)

I love the first one! I think it's very appropriate for an evening wedding in July. I agree with Kimcly--the fourth one will give you a weird tummy silhouette even if you've got a killer figure. I also don't think the fourth one looks very good in that particular color, whereas I think the first one would look great in jade.

  • The first one is totally cute.  The satin band at the waist dresses it up a little bit.  I think it will be great for an evening wedding!
  • I like #1 but I just wanted to say I'm in a wedding in August and we got Donna Morgan dresses and I love it so far (the 3 times I've had it on for 10 minutes)  it was super comfortable!  (it's the one shoulder design)  if you go with that one, they run big...just FYI.  the website is amazing though - you can send them back and they ship you a new one - it takes like 3 days (unless they are on back order and even then I got it quicker than they said!!!)
  • I vote for #1. It's adorable. JCrew makes great dresses! I picked one up for my shower.

The DM one I'm not a fan of and I agree that it's not super flattering. I tried it on with my BMs. I have an ample bosom, though - they were falling out. So bad.
