Photo booth, favors, guest book.

We're doing a photo booth at our wedding. I see its often used as a guest book and/or favor. I don't see it working well as either as there plenty of people shy away from  having their pictures taken. We planned it more as just fun stuff for those that want to. Is it overkill for guest book, favors and a photo booth?

Re: Photo booth, favors, guest book.

  • I would skip favors for sure if you did the photobooth. For the guest book, are people leaving a photo behind for you as well?

  • Favors and guest book are never necessary but optional. I think you have you bases covered, but if you'd like to do the other two and you have the budget, go for it.

For what it's worth, I think you'll have more people leaving photo strips in the photobooth guest book than people writing in the regular guest book.

  • We had a photobooth.  Each guest was given 2 copies of the pictures- 1 for the guest book and 1 to keep as a favor. Everyone loved it even my 75 year old grandma and 80 year old great aunt.

  • Our photobooth is our favor. Guests get unlimited trips to use it and a copy strip of each time. I hate junky trinket favors which is why we went this route.
  • I think that's a fine idea. We are using our photobooth as a guestbook. It might possibly be our favor, too. I am going to our local chocolatier this weekend to see if they can put something together, but if not, I think the photos from the photobooth will be enough.
